Yeah, Brown might have to go back to a tighter rotation again. Colby did OK, but some of those odd moments between these guys should have been no surprise.

In a way it is if for nothing more than the difference in PPP and how it shakes a defense to the core when teams start bombing on you. Giving open 3's and closing the middle is a theoretical defense based on giving up lower percentage shots rather than paint shots. It's a little antiquated and I...

    [Game] 17/82: Kings vs. Nets 24 NOV 2024, 6pm PT/9pm ET

The only thing one can hope is that the adjustment in the 2nd half defensively and playing up into the ball handler is something they maybe look to do earlier in games. Like before they get down big. The Kings gave up open 3's still, but they at least made the Nets move. DeRozan just went flat...

    Well, Fox defers, Kings lose.

And honestly, that should put them firmly in the playoff slots somewhere if the offense comes back. The thing is the Kings got up to like 1 for a stretch last season ball hawking. Now, they did have Davion and he certainly helped. That has to be the hope when Carter comes back that he can be...

Nothing is falling for DeMar here.

And since those shots aren't falling and the confidence is shook, it's hard to put what the team is actually into focus. So far, it's looking like anyone would have thought, just in ways unexpected. You traded out a much better 3 point shooter for a worse one. Being a better 3 point shooting...

And the players are out of sync together. The issue is this should be a good team and they probably won't be any worse than last season, the hope was that they'd be better. And yeah, plenty of time.

Now the Kings are pressing into the offense. Huerter might actually be going a little too far up. I'm not sure shading a quicker, more physical team is a good idea.

A ha, that's it. The answer is Tim Duncan. The Kings need a Tim Duncan, lol. With a C like Domas proof was moving your defense INTO the other team worked. At least better than this.

And Doug has been being groomed for a long time. Tons of organizations have that dude who is involved in a ton of aspects of the franchise in general. DC has basically done it all including in front of the camera. It's like with BoJax though. Wait too long and someones poaching if they do have...

Another big 3rd. Don't let all that time having gotten this down to a manageable level go to waste fellas.

    [Game] 17/82: Kings vs. Nets 24 NOV 2024, 6pm PT/9pm ET

That's how failure and gimmicks usually work. Over the course of time more and more teams can scheme towards your scheme. Every team runs some sort of help off the corners, the issue is the Kings put almost zero pressure on the ball handler at times and switch into soft pressure. That's just...

If DC can use his own defense sure. If not, he's just another person in charge of running Browns defense and that would suck to see the head coaching potential DC has get wasted like that.

Has to be Brown's call. Jordi played the same way until late last year and late the Kings played almost indentical ball pressure the Nets are. The Kings are sitting back on ball like usual.

Little goof up here, lol. Partly on Domas though he wanted the challenge until he saw it. Brown might need to be more reserved on players calling these haha.

No Kayte, Fox was playing off, that was essentially a wide open shot around the pick.

Part of it was obviously the rep he got with the Warriors. Deserved, but the defense was also figured out by other teams.

I'm mostly talking about the attack on the dribble. The Kings switch into soft pressure and have since Jordi was the "defensive coach". It's like with doubling and not trapping. How many times do you have see it not work before cutting or adjusting?

Brown doesn't need to be fired, he needs to either get personnel that can run his defense or change it up. If he doesn't and things continue at this pace where it ends up is where most coaches including Brown at various times in his career has ended up.
