    2019 NBA Draft thread

First off I didn't say "a good backup plan". Don't put words in my mouth. K? thx Second, I am not talking about WCS leaving then him taking all of his playing time from day one. I was saying that IF WCS was leaving then it they should have taken a flyer on him since he was in the second round...

    2019 NBA Draft thread

Exactly. I thought with all that WCS talk and whether or not we are extending him, that we would have a backup plan in a guy like Bol Bol.. Guess I was wrong! I would've taken Bol Bol with the 40 in a heartbeat. Bol Bol was a great pick for Denver and I feel that he's going to make that good...

Kings will no longer have cheerleaders

Agree.. I think it's more of a political move than anything. And a "hey this team is doing it so we will too!" type of situation.

Is Willie Cauley-Stein still an option at center for Sacramento Kings?

Seems to like his teammates, also when playing D he can almost read minds of his teammates when a switch is happening, and he knows when FOX will get him the ball for an easy transition dunk when leaking after a rebound. When the Kings were playing well he was part of the reason in my opinion...

Veteran KF members - are you still here?

What happened to Brick? I had some time off the site the last couple years. Been here since 2001 though... Damn.. Almost 20 years.......

    Steven Adams?

Adams is ok. But if I had to choose between Adams and WCS knowing that we are playing up tempo, I would take WCS 99 times out of 100. Unless he's (theoretically) here just to back him up?

    Harrison Barnes is opting out

You would be surprised. Not all of them tossing away as much as Barnes is but players always turn down more money for a prime situation where they could get paid next year. It's not grasping because it happens every year with at least a couple players. Maybe a "ton" was a bit much but every year...

    Harrison Barnes is opting out

Other players have done this very thing. If he were in golden state he would probably be the second option. Just saw someone else had put GS up there and thought to myself it would be a good destination if he wants to play a lot in an attempt to get paid next year. Nothing more. I just "have a...

    Harrison Barnes is opting out

You never know.. A ton of players have done this.. Sign the MLE after turning down a 1 year deal for a lot of money in order to get paid the following year (after being in a situation where he could put up a ton of points). With us he was the 3rd/4th option.

    Harrison Barnes is opting out

I doubt he re-signs with us. What I got out of it is that he's gone. The warriors with Durant out need a SF. They will probably offer him a 2 year deal with an opt out clause if he blows up this year without Durant on the floor. I assume he's going to play the one year in GS and be one of the...

    Trade for the #4 pick?

Meh, Kind of a weak class. I wouldn't want to give up any players that are on my core list, and what's left is players that aren't worth a #4 pick.

Is Willie Cauley-Stein still an option at center for Sacramento Kings?

I like me some WCS. He's good enough to be a starter center or 6/7th man on a good team. We need to keep this team together. No reason to start swapping people who are of WCS caliber for someone who might not gel with the team like WCS does.

    Nerlens Noel?

Love Noel, but I am also a WCS fan and would rather keep WCS.,

    Marreese Speights

Once big men start shooting from outside I get a bit worried. Is he expanding his game or is he so worn down that he cannot go inside anymore and settles for outside jumpers. He was never really that good at grabbing rebounds, so the thought of him sitting out there shooting threes makes him...

    Potential draft picks.

Who wants to bet that Atlanta is going to trade one of their pics to us so that we get 2 picks back to back. We give them our other 2nd round pick and "future considerations" or some other nonsense.

    Tobias Harris

Well yah, there will be guarantees in the contracts. Maybe Sac will offer a car or a few Rolex watches? Who knows, but yah, you're right. There will be max offers and then perks in those max offers.
  17. Gary

    Tobias Harris

Not going to be a bidding war. Pretty much all the teams that can offer max contracts will end up doing so. Phily can give him the most money, then the Kings and a few other teams can offer max, and probably will.

    Tobias Harris

Wouldn't we want to try to extend Barnes after this year rather than getting a guy like Harris? Not saying Barnes will sign with us, but if he does well this next year (if he stays with the Kings) shouldn't we try to re-sign him? While Harris is better I feel Barnes (this year) will fit with...

    C/PF off season discussion

We can't just keep replacing people. That's what crappy teams do. So WCS isn't performing like an All star? Let's replace him with some guy who has not got a lot of minutes and try to plug him into WCS role and hope he actually produces in real life rather than looking at a ""per 36" stat.

Is Giles really a future center?

Seems everyone (even in national media) thinks this kid is pretty good. So yes, probably. Assume it is not going to be this year, and I am happy with WCS starting. Love me some WCS. Had anyone thought about getting a guy like Noel? He would almost immediately fix our rebounding woes.
