Improving the roster (Moved from the Kings/Thunder [Game] thread)

Barnes takes up minutes from other guys who are part of the future and he's so a$$ he shouldn't be on the court. IDC about "featuring" him for trades. That's useless. He's been in the show long enough to where every single GM understands what he can and cannot do at this point. He doesn't need...

[Game] Los Angeles Clippers at Sacramento Kings, 11/29/2023, 7pm Pacific 10pm Eastern

It was more about cap flexibility to re-sign Monk and also go after someone this upcoming offseason rather then tie up funds preventing that option.

I'm not sure how many times I've seen Domas be open at the line and not take that shot, but he needs to start taking that shot.

I'm not seeing the issue. I absolutely hated the decision when it happened and I still do. I wasn't a fan of the approach of the FO to just let the current squad "mature" and settle in when we know that Monk is up for a new contract and that Kevin is streaky af so having another wing that can...

Can anyone defend the rational of signing the utter non-factor that is Harrison Barnes?

I hated them re-signing Barnes and I still hate it.

    HB IS BACK

I don't see what minutes HB would get that we couldn't be giving Keegan. I just don't get it.

What has to happen to move forward next year

What has to happen to reach deeper in playoffs: Upgrade 2/3. This can be addition by subtraction. Letting HB walk and having Keegs improving are solid options at the forward spot. I'm open to a package of Kevin and fillers to get a better 2 guard option. I understand players struggling but to...

It's one thing to not have a team talented enough to win against a better team and another to watch them choke away victory.

I'm shocked he hasn't gone small more considering how opening the lanes created so many opportunities and was their best defensive effort.

Can we discuss how the warriors are beating the kings? They are game planning around neutralize Domas and his offense. Attacking the DHO, limiting him on both ends in the post, and forcing the role players to make shots. What is the king's strategy? Mitchell on Curry and sometimes box +1...

It took Fox quite some time to become his current iteration. I'm not closing the book on him I'm just saying his mental game is what needs to develop not that he lacks ability.

He broke the record by being a spot shooter. We are talking about him using his skillset to be more, which he hasn't been. So he has the ability but not the mental approach of a guy like Monk for example. And yes it's far too soon to judge and he may develop that killer instinct but my point...

His personality seems very passive to me. He seems to not want to establish himself but rather be a part of the team, but when he's needed he doesn't assert all that often. Not sure if he can address the timidity in the next few years but I see similarities with HB and his passivity.
