Well, there's the new NBA champion. Nonetheless their season will have an asterisk from me. Also, Pistons - Spurs was a great finals last time and it could be an interesting one again, although I would expect the Spurs to win in 5.

    [CHI/DET] Bulls vs Pistons

And we're back to the Eastern Conference argument ... unless you are talking about the time when Kidd was in Dallas or with Suns and in that case there is no comparison of their team achievements. Nash was definitely a late bloomer, so overall Kidd will have a better career, however, in the...

Perhaps I was pessimistic, but ever since the 1st quarter that game had a strong feeling that Spurs were going to win. Suns were dodging bullets all night with the Spurs missing some shots they normally make and it was only a matter of time before they were going to take the lead.

    [CHI/DET] Bulls vs Pistons

Sounds to me like the difference between college and NBA. It's "only" speed, size and talent.

    [CHI/DET] Bulls vs Pistons

Eastern conference is crap, plain and simple. On the other hand, I'm a huge fan of Chauncey's game ever since he was the MVP of the finals against the Lakers... those were pretty sweet days :)

Adelman to the Rockets (title revised 5/21)

There is no way that the Rockets squad would be able to run Princeton offense. They are not that good of a passing team and I don't think that moving Yao further away from the basket would be that great of idea. The only other option is that they run their offense through Howard and that just...

Haha, yeah, maybe we can throw in a draft pick in exchange for nothing :)

    [CHI/DET] Bulls vs Pistons

Bulls are a very strange team. They'll definitely need to address their low post offense in the post season.

A full Suns squad could beat them. Even a depeleted one almost did. Also, probably the only reason why you root for the Spurs is so that you dont look stupid for saying that Suns have no chance. Suns had and still have a really good chance. They are a better team.

    [GS/UTA] Western Semifinals

It's not either or. It's a risk, chances are that a higher pick will end up being a better player, but it doesn't have to turn out that way.

    [GS/UTA] Western Semifinals

No doubt about that... Especially because during the time when high school players were drafted they were usually relatively lower picks. Kobe, McGrady, Garnett were all much lower because it was risky to tell that at such a young age. Then you also have people like Darko who were drafted much...

    [GS/UTA] Western Semifinals

WOOPS, I thought that kupman was comparing our team to the Warriors. There is NO WAY that we have more talent than Utah Jazz. I do think that Sacramento has more talent than Golden State.

    [CLE/NJN] Round two

Yep, I think I said the same a few days ago when someone called this "Eastern conference style". It's just absolutely boring, soulless, lethargic and boring basketball. If I was at the game, I would ask for my money back. Also, Larry Hughes sucks even more than I thought.

    [CHI/DET] Bulls vs Pistons

It has everything to do with it if you're the Pistons. Chauncey is the best defender of all those mentioned point guards (Kidd is close), the 2nd best shooter among them (Nash is better) and the best post up player of all of them. Also, he's probably the most clutch of all of them. Exactly the...

    I agree with that.

With one exception... Billups fits Pistons offense (and defense) better than any of those guys would.

"Finishing off" would have never happened if Phoenix had the full squad.

That has absolutely no relevance to how important he is to his team (and he's a better fit for them than any of the other top PGs), which was disputed when people talked about Pistons turnaround when Webber came back (which coincided with Chauncey's return to the lineup).

    [PHX/SAS] -- series discussion (merged)

Bruce Bowen dangerous kicks, non-fouls on Duncan (whenever there is another Spurs player near him and the foul occurs, it is never called on Duncan), the Spurs consistently reaching in and slapping Steve Nash and non of this stuff gets called. I had a feeling that Robert Horry foul wouldn't have...

    [CHI/DET] Bulls vs Pistons

And that's why the biggest runs the Pistons made were while Webber was on the floor ? P.S. For those who doubted how much Chauncey Billups means to the Pistons... consider tonight's game.
