I totally agree. The fit just makes so much more sense the other way around. I thought Huerter could have regained some rhythm and confidence with the second unit, as a 2nd or 3rd option in the offense. Now he's the clear 5th option as a starter, which is not likely to be enough to boost him...

That's the problem. If they don't feature him in the offense like they did in that first season, he doesn't have nearly the chance to gain the rhythm he needs in order to be a valuable piece on a playoff team

He's not a focal point for an offense or a guy who is going to take a high volume of shots, but I guess I value his defense and the fact that he doesn't force contested shots, more than most. I also think his ability to shoot is still underrated

That's a bit of an exaggeration. Part of his value is that he doesn't try to force shots. He takes open shots when they are available
