My biggest concern is I believe he’s too old and the game has changed since he did any significant coaching. Reminds me of Alvin Gentry. Old guy everyone likes, but you don’t want coaching the team. I think it’s a pretty “mid” move and not a needle mover

Shooting a high percentage from midrange results in more points than shooting a poor percentage from three. It’s hardly the least efficient shot.

If they bring in another head coach, you cannot have Doug as an assistant. The new guy needs to have the freedom to bring in his staff. Not have one appointed to him like Brown did.

I think the key is the rawness of Jones. Sometimes it looks like the game is moving too fast and he’s slow to react. No sense in pushing him. We are win now. No time and not enough practices to develop right now.

Risk of hitting against the cap and no minutes for him now. We need a pass-first PG on the roster to backup Monk and preferably play a little defense.
