And we've come to the last road game of the year for our Kings. In a move that pretty much everyone anticipated, the NBA has rescinded the technical called by Violet Palmer against Demarcus Cousins and he will play tonight.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I sure would like to see a game plan, with our starters getting the majority of minutes and our "coach" actually doing coach-like things. If there was any justice to the world, Smart would have missed the plane to OKC, forcing any one of our assistant coaches to step up and take his place.

Let's just hope for a good game.

Once, NOW and FOREVER ... GO KINGS!

I'm not sure what to expect. Prior to this week I would have said that it would have been a predictable:
  • Starters go toe-to-toe
  • 2nd quarter implodes
  • They claw back
  • Evans/Cousins sits until about 5 minutes too late
  • Thunder Wins
Now it seems like Smart is delivering a final "up yours" to Sacramento by playing Evans < 20 minutes, throwing really wacky lineups out there for poops and giggles, in addition to his usual madness. Like I said, I don't know what to expect. He may luck into victory through a Thomas/Jimmer/Thornton/Outlaw/Johnson lineup...

One things for sure: The Kings have now given up on average 105 points a game.

I predict:
  • 109-92 OKC
  • Salmons will get about 32 minutes
  • Smart's tie will be brighter than his substitution patterns
  • I will enjoy a nice craft beer

It's not all doom and gloom, though. There will likely be more of Cole Aldrich, and we all love that big dope, right?

Honestly, I don't care if they lose tonight. I want them to B) win on wendesday and A) stay in Sacramento.
X2. just focus on the bigger picture. the Kings will not win this game. but on the bright side, unlike the last few boring losses, tonight at least ill get to see my favorite NBA player (KD)

And I will be enjoying a blend of Budweiser and Clamato. (Thanks to KG4 for introducing me to this delightful taste treat. :) )

I just hope that they play with much more effort. They've been tanking it. If they don't come out with much more energy, OKC is going to obliterate them.

Isaiah Thomas and DeMarcus Cousins went a combined 5 for 18 from the field and finished with just 10 and eight points, respectively. Thomas, though, added a season-high 10 assists.

"That wasn't really a fun event there," coach Keith Smart said.
Oh, he's trolling.

JT is WIDE open at the elbow, has been hitting that shot regularly, and IT looks him off to force a miss against 3 defenders. Not what we need from our PG!

Interesting tidbit: According to Grant, Violet Palmer apologized to Demarcus Cousins during half-time yesterday. I would have loved to hear that apology.

I wonder if she apologized to Vlade when she called him for a foul while he was sitting on the bench?
