Kings vs. Lakers Preseason Game 5

Great effort from our squad to only be down 2. Lakers are getting the FT line if we fart on them while they're allowed to mug us on the other end

Some are complaining, but I'm pleasantly surprised with the lineups and sub patterns so far. Like the strategy from Smart. To me hat's more important than the score.

Next time somebody wants to knock Hayes for missing a layup or not finishing as the number 1 post option, watch the last two sequences against Gasol, that's how a coach with any semblance of talent scouting ability would use him. Was it a spectacular block? Was it a live by the sword die by it steal? No, just called putting a body between the man and the hoop and putting an end to the damn dunkfest.

Well they are obviously frustrated by the awful calls. You can't defend them or its a foul. Why play 82 games nba wants Miami vs la lets just do it now f***

I'm not please with the brain-dead play. If the Kings can prevent themselves from throwing the ball away or fouling out in the first half, they can play well against this team.

im definitely happy with the lineup and rotation. just not happy with the sloppy passing, and the bad defense. the bigs keep staying out on the 3 pt line on screens and let Howard/Gasol roll into the paint wide open!

Let's be honest though, this is the first time they've seen this kind of defense since last season at the least. Training camp and Por/GS doesn't prepare you to face D12, on top of everyone else they have. Some poor passes though.

i havent been a down as others have been with hayes this preseason. he does a lot of things well, especially man post D. He moves the ball well on offense but is otherwise useless on that end

Not being able to stop a slow break isn't exactly confidence inducing. Maybe as the game goes on they can play with some poise.

I think overall we look pretty good. Still some work to do but we look much improved from the trash of past seasons. I mean we are neck and neck with one of the best teams in the league...and one of the most talent stacked in NBA history.

and if Smart uses his last years strategy of leaving the starters on the bench the ENTIRE second quarter once the regular season starts, im gonna lose my mind
