Ah, so the brave little soldier is going for the Michael Jordan-playing-through-illness bit? He's such a trooper.
Not sure if you watched the game, but it was ridiculous how useless every other Laker was being. Gasol and Bynum combined for something like 5 points in the first half. Gasol finished the game with 3 points shooting 1-10 and 3 rebounds in 28 minutes of play. Ramon Sessions and Matt Barnes absolutely refused to take or hit open 3s, and the Nuggets were just clogging the paint and double teaming anyone who caught it in the post. Think of how teams dare Tyreke to shoot - now extend the space they give him by another 4ft. That's the amount of space they were giving Sessions. It was really funny, Sessions would throw it to Kobe posting up, Kobe would get doubled, throw it back out ot Sessions. Sessions would throw it back. I'm pretty sure Kobe was wishing he had Fisher back.

Here's hoping that the Nuggets can get the job done. It's hard to imagine how tense the situation has to be between players on the Lakers right now. Kobe is out there in true brave little soldier mode and his front line looks like they forgot how to play the game. I'm not even going to pretend to feel anything but a smug satisfaction. Even if they manage to advance to the second round, the Lakers are not going to get past OKC without a lot more effort.

I'm honestly surprised by the fact that the Lakers frontcourt hasn't been able to dominate Denver this series. Credit to Karl, he really has the team playing above themselves right now. The Lakers have appeared pretty listless right now, as if they don't even want to be there (aside from Kobe, anyway.) We'll see how it turns out. Obviously, I want the Nuggets to win, but I think I want the Lakers to lose more than I want the Nuggets to win.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I want the Lakers to lose. My only conundrum would be if they were playing the Heat. :p

Agreed. Thankfully this year I think the only teams capable of beating the Heat are/were Chicago, OKC and the Spurs. But I do think that the Lakers would give OKC a better chance of preparing for the Heat than the Nuggets would. Get them used to double teaming a superstar.

So Metta World Peace is back for tonight's game... This could get very interesting, especially if the Nuggets start out hot. We Kings fans know full well how Ron-Ron can get if he thinks his team NEEDS him to step up and he's going to be out to prove that he learned his lesson from his suspension. The two sides of his brain could literally collide...

Small ball loses again.

In the appearance of closeness, the Nuggets to the Lakers to seven games. Too bad they couldn't get a defensive rebound the entire fourth quarter in order to ignite that potent transition game.

Oh and the convenience of Ron Artest (refuse to use the new name-- it's offensive to me because I'm Buddhist and he has no clue what it means) coming back for game seven is a little too annoying for me. It definitely had an impact on the game, and it's quite likely the Nuggs win if he's not there-- and he shouldn't have been, not with the hit he put on Harden. Shoulda been gone the whole playoffs. For sure and absolutely without a doubt.

Anyway, now I get to watch Ibaka and Durant shove Laker face in Oklahoma dirt. Wonderful!
