What, you mean the insinuation that the hiring of Gray and Walton in part-time gigs is the Maloofs' equivalent of the annexation of the Sudetenland in their grand scheme to move the Kings out of Sacramento? I was hoping to give you more credit than that. Frustration, whether at failure or stupid moves is one thing. Paranoia is another thing altogether.
So let me get this straight. You suffered through:
13 consecutive losing seasons
8 consecutive seasons under .360
9 consecutive seasons without a playoff berth
Pervis Ellison
Rupe the Hoop
Angela Tsai
Gold Lame uniforms
$6000 Cheeseburger commercials
The retirement of (and statue of) the number 6
Kenny Natt
An endless inability to secure a new arena amidst rumblings that the team might move elsewhere
only to let the release of Kayte Christensen and the hiring of Jim Gray (sideline reporting for 20 games) and Bill Walton (commentary for 5-10 games) be the straw that broke the camel's back? You're welcome to do so, but it would seem like a bit of an overreaction.
Couldn't agree more. Affiliation with Lakers doesn't bother me and these guys by contract are affiliating with the Kings. Fine with me. I know at lot of posters on here are you might say Lakers haters. I don't share that. I won't give Lakerdom that satisfaction. Our rivalry with the Lakers has been great and I've enjoyed it. But can't have such a thing without the Lakers. I will quietly enjoy the hell out of each win we get against the Lakers but I can't do that without the Lakers. At most Kings games I attend I applaud the visiting team - because they are there - and we can't have a game without them. Otherwise, who cares about the Lakers.

I am not only The Arbiter of Kings Fans' Tolerance, but I am also The Librarian of the Vast Compendium of True Knowledge, The High and Mighty Keeper of the Wand of Salvation, and The Princess of Entitlement Island! Did I miss anything?

From the link in the very first post on the thread:
Hall of Fame center Bill Walton is joining the Kings broadcast crew on a limited basis. Walton, who has suffered from debilitating back pain the last several years, is feeling well enough to work approximately 5-10 games for the Kings.
