Sam Amick: Being told the Sergio Rodriguez-to-Memphis talks have cooled. Griz don't want to take him with cap room. 52 minutes ago.

They(Pacers)want Kings to take some combo of J. Tinsley ($1 million expiring), Marcus Williams ($855K expiring) or Lester Hudson ($457K expiring)(Troy Murphy rumor)

That second trade isn't in relation to the Murphy deal. Those are the combination of players they want us to take on in exchange for Sergio. That would cause us to have to cut someone so I don't see that going down. There would be no reason for the Maloofs to do it anyway unless cash or a pick comes back with them.

WTF?!? Miller and Salmons coming BACK to the Kings?? I still dont see this happening, plus Salmons looks to be going to Milwaukee...but who knows...

Rockets recruit Kings in McGrady talks

By Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo! Sports 42 minutes ago
As talks with the New York Knicks stalled on Wednesday night, the Houston Rockets quietly recruited the Sacramento Kings as part of a three-team trade discussion that would deliver Tracy McGrady(notes) to the Chicago Bulls, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The proposed deal was contingent on John Salmons(notes) staying with the Bulls, but that appeared in doubt with the Milwaukee Bucks expecting to complete their own trade for Salmons.

In the proposed trade, the Rockets would get Kenny Thomas(notes), Andres Nocioni(notes), Beno Udrith and a Kings’ protected No. 1 draft pick. Sacramento would acquire Tyrus Thomas(notes), Brad Miller(notes) and Salmons from the Bulls. The deal would cleare cap space for the Bulls this summer and save the Kings as much as $15 million in salary next year.

One source with knowledge of the Knicks’ talks with the Rockets said New York isn’t enthused about Houston’s demands. The Rockets want to trade first-round picks in 2011 and take the Knicks’ 2012 pick. They also have asked for cash, the source said.

It is unclear whether the Bulls will try to revive talks with the Rockets if they complete their trade with the Bucks. However, Houston clearly is worried about where the discussions with New York are headed as the deadline looms on Thursday.

I will be crossing my fingers tonight for Al Jefferson. I want a squad of heavy hitters that go hard in the paint.

I hope GP pulls some kind of decent trade off, but I just get the feeling that nothing major is going to happen until the offseason.

Unfortunately thats what we keep saying EVERY year and the problem is that nothing major happens in the off-season either.

And when nothing major happens in the offseason we then talk how something major will happen at the deadline. The deadline passes and we then talk how something majow will happen in the offseason.

Its just a constant cycle of non-activity.

Well last year at the deadline we DID trade Miller, Salmons, and Mikki Moore.
