Bobcats get off the schnide, to the tune of only their second road win of the season, with an impressive victory over the Heat. Crash Wallace had a quiet 15/8/3/3, but Stephen Jackson picked up the slack, with a season-high thirty-five.

Paul Allen should try and steal Phoenix's trainers; if those guys can fix Grant Hill, they can fix anybody.

Poor Portland: they went from the Jailblazers to the Frailblazers.

Break up the Bobcats! Coming into this weekend with the worst road record in the league, how's this for back-to-back wins: at Miami, at Cleveland! Their first-ever win at the Gund/Q.

uhm anyone see Krypto-Nate come off the bench for the knicks against the hawks and score 41? he hadn't played in the prior 14 games..

Yea I don't get D'Antoni. I think he's cracked. Dude is obviously a scorer, and a good one. Patch up your issues and let him play. Althouth fanball.com did say that Nate vetoed a trade to the Grizzlies. So maybe he only wants to play under his own terms.

Cuban not happy about facing Cowboys

DALLAS -- Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is firing criticism at a league office again, but this time he has the NFL in his crosshairs.
Cuban is upset that the NFL scheduled the Dallas Cowboys' home playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles for Saturday night, which conflicts with the Mavericks' home game against the Utah Jazz.

"I know we're just little pissants compared to the NFL, but seriously, the NFL is turning into the ugly American when it comes to sports leagues," Cuban said. "They don't give a crap about anybody but themselves."
Cuban continued his rant via Twitter on Wednesday, pointing out a second NFL game going head-to-head with an NBA game in Boston.
Tweeted Cuban: "NFL couldnt schedule the Pats for late game on Sun rather than opposite Celtics @1pm?"
The Boston Celtics host the Toronto Raptors at 1 p.m. ET, while the New England Patriots open the playoffs at home against the Baltimore Ravens at the same time.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello has declined to respond to Cuban's comments.
The Mavericks' sellout streak of 334 consecutive games is not in jeopardy Saturday night because all the tickets have already been sold, Cuban said. However, he anticipates a high number of no-shows.

Cuban had nothing but praise for Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, his partner in bringing the NBA All-Star Game to Cowboys Stadium in February. However, Cuban lashed out at the NFL, which he said could lose the political support of other professional sports leagues if it continues to be inconsiderate with its scheduling.
"There's a balance between all the leagues," Cuban said. "They deal with similar issues. They deal with issues with copyright, antitrust, [Federal Communications Commission], all kinds of things. And it's going to bite them in the *** one day."
Cuban concluded with a jab at the NFL.
"Maybe the other leagues, when it comes to supporting them, will pull a Jim Irsay and disappear in the middle of the night," Cuban said, referring to the Colts' move from Baltimore to Indianapolis that was actually orchestrated by Jim Irsay's father Bob in 1984.

I know Jamal Crawford was hot in the 4th quarter against the Celtics but did he really have to do the smoking gun, on an ESPN televised game no less while people are still upset at Gilbert.

I laughed a lot with this:

BTW this seems to be his real youtube profile, and there are more absurd and funny vids there

It should be revoked already. I think fans have proven time and time again the ASG is a popularity contest. I for one, hate it and believe it ruins the game. I want to see all stars of the present, not of the past.

I'm with Cuban. But that's probably because I love basketball, and could give a rat's *** about football.
That's definitely why, because playoff football is way more important in Dallas than a regular season basketball game. That's just the way things are. I think a Dallas-Carter high school football game might be more important than a regular season basketball game.

You can't help but feel good for Jamal Crawford; he's the reigning "Shareef" of the league (most games without ever getting to the playoffs), and he's finally on a good team. And, unlike with us and Abdur-Rahim, he's actually helping that team be better.

If you're finally going to proverbially "bust your playoff cherry," what better way to do it than as an impact player?

EDIT - Barring injury, or Woodson holding him out, he's going to break Abdur-Rahim's record by seven games.
