2009 SF Giants Thread

RBI Uribe, Rowand at 3rd, 1 out.

Time for Richie to bring some magic.

Edgar just beat out the throw! Tie game! But he's hurt.

feel bad for Zito ... he is performing like he cares this season and he is 1-4

I am glad that SF is decent again but this team just cannot score:( .... you cannot rely that much on Ps

2-1 loss in San Diego for Zito.
2-1 loss in San Diego for Sanchez.

On paper, this offense looks better than last year's but results are saying otherwise.

Meanwhile, LA is running away with the West. We NEED a bat.

I have been telling this a long long time. Unfortunately, we have to wait a new FA market or trade one of our SPs. We will not improve our offense from within. I guess it is obvious now.

And again, 12 inns and 1 run ... oh, and only 3 hits. I can understand that this team was build around Ps and defense is better but SF's offense looks ignominious. And I do not actually blame players, they do whatever they are capable of. If you expect Buriss, Ishikawa and Co. to hit a lot, then you are just daydreaming. I was not very exciting about our team at the beginning because I thought we were weak offensively. It is not weak now, it is ugly. It is very sad to have a solid pitching like we have this season and waste it like that. And the truth is that nothing is gonna change soon - we have no resources within the system. And this is what makes me so dissapointed.

The bat that we could most likely acquire is Nick Freaking Johnson from what I have read...And for Jon Sanchez? No thank you.

Ill pass...Ill keep hoping Sanchez learns control, and Ill keep hoping Ishi can be consistent, ala his Spring Training.

Until there is a *real* bat on the market (ala Miguel Cabrera from the Marlins 2 or so years ago) will I be accepting an offering of a Sanchez/TOP-prospect combo.

Sanchez has to much stuff to aquire a decent at best 31 year old oft-injured position player to unseat a young player.

I just hope Sabes doesn't pull another AJ Pierzynski fiasco because thats apparently what we want/need.
