Guess just extra insurance for Walker then? I like the pick because she won't be expected to play more than 20-25 mins a game anyway, so all this conditioning talk isn't going to come into play as much here. Welcome Courtney!!!!

I like this pick. Who would've think we'd get the SHAQ of the WNBA? Together with Brunson, that would be awesome. Our frontcourt is set. Although I wish walker would be back in tip top shape coz, I still am not much a believer in the Harper project.

A year ago, I would have given my eye teeth for Courtney Paris. Things have changed in a year and I thought we needed a guard more than a post player. Having said that, when Courtney dropped to us in the draft, how can you not take her? In my mind, she was the best player available at that time. By that I mean, if she puts in the work necessary, I see her having the greatest impact on a team. So, I am thrilled that Courtney fell to us. I would never have thought it possible at one time.

Welcome to the Monarchs, Courtney!!

I think it's more appropriate to say "get ready Courtney" ;) I think Ticha drools over bigs with great hands and who can finish around the basket. She may triple double yet....:)

Thanks, MBF. I'm really liking her attitude. C'mon in Courtney. We love our players, especially those who are willing to work hard for us. Sounds like her head is in the right place.

Just my opinion, but we landed the most mature player in this draft. What a wonderful and level-headed young woman Courtney Paris is. Her message was that of humility and optimism. I can't wait until this young woman is racking up double-doubles in Monarchs purple!
