I would have to say so because the Kings play with energy against a great team twice in one week, yet mustard enought energy to play at home against a Knicks team. If they were loosing but was competitive then I would have no problem with this, but as a coach you must place emphasis on energy and competitive, and also to place Thompsom to start the 4 instead of playing the bench to Slow whiny Brad Miller. I use to love Brad but now he is just playing weak...:(

I have seen coaches fired in the half time many times. If I was the owner - I would fire him before getting in the lockerroom a

I wonder if Charlotte is having a similar poll with the Larry Brown led Bobcats at 7-17 and having lost 6 in a row. What could he have done with this Kings crew last year and into this season if the Maloof's had hired him over Theus?;)

I KNEW that when I came back on this board there would be another fire Reggie thread. You always have someone to blame- why can't it be the blame of the players lack of defense( Reggie can't exactly get out on the floor and play it for them it is up to the players. I understand that you guys are upset about the poor play of the kings tongiht, but it just doesn't seem fair. Reggie played the kids substantial minutes tonight, and yes we lost but cmon give the guy a break! Isn't that what you said was all you wanted- for the kids to get minutes?
(Don't mind my rant I just had to get it out :p)

LB surely could have "helped" us by trading young players and stacking up the roster with washed up players like Juwan Howard? Yippee. ;)

43 1st quarter points... fire him right m/f'n now... wow.... 3-23 3pt shooting, 13 f'n%

fire him now.... i was willing to be patient but this is just too much.... if the lakers had beaten them this bad it would be okay. they are the 2nd best team in the league. but the knicks? the damn knicks? d'antoni is their coach and we couldnt score more than 90 points.

I want the kids to get minutes when it's TIED...0 to 0...at the start of the game. Not to have them come in ONLY because we are down by 20+ points at home. We need them to build experience and confidence...not to hope that they only time they get to play is when we are being blown out.

I have no idea now. I pretty much agree with his rotations - except I hope he will replace Miller with Thompson in the starting lineup within the next few games. The rotation was apparently the biggest thing I had against the guy.

Now he has to go to the next level. He has to tell Garcia and some of the other vets to pass the ball to the rookies. Especially Thompson, and especially if he's just standing there, underneath the basket with his hands in the "ready" position. He's either going to get fouled, get fouled and make the basket or make the basket. So why ignore him and miss all of those close range circus shots? That's my biggest pet peave right now. You are going to lose if your mentality is to play 3 against 5.

Also, Thompson is getting good at kicking out the ball to his teammates at the 3 point line - they just aren't making them. I like his attititude that even those he's being ignored by other teammates, he still plays very unselfishly.

Other than that, I'm a happy clam that Thompson, Hawes and Greene are playing now.

Im sorry but that's just wrong-- the kids did not come in just because we were down more then 20-with your theory the kids would have NEVER come in during the laker game on Tuesday because we were never down 20. You are just using that as a excuse. The kids have had significant minutes in the last few games-whether we were down by 20 or up by 4.

Say what you want, but it's been shown that the kids do not play as much when we are winning in a game (Thompson got more minutes tonight and on Friday than on Tuesday).

The only category with 3 votes is "no idea/no opinion."(at this point)
When I last looked at the votes, it was 3 for "No way!".. now it's 5, with 2 others are saying "I'd like to see him do better but I'm not ready to call for his dismissal." That means 7 people don't want him fired...and I want those people to tell me why. Other than the Lakers game on Tuesday/Friday, what in the last month has been encouraging about this team? What is going to happen, in your minds, if we get rid of Theus right now? Is it possible to get WORSE?

I just hate that whenever the kids DO get consitent minutes everyone seems to say " well he only played the kids cause we were down by 20" seems like a double standard- kids get minutes and Reggie is heckled for putting them in?????

It's an anonymous poll. No one has to say anything if they don't wish to...

I know, though, that some fans don't really see the benefit of firing Theus at this point in time. There aren't a lot of better coaches out there anyway; we aren't going to do better with a different coach; AND we're on course for an excellent lottery pick...

If we do keep Reggie through the end of the year, we start next season with a new coach, another good rookie and a clean slate. And that might not sound that bad to a lot of fans...

Keep in mind this is a poll not a quiz. There is no one right or wrong answer. It's merely an indication of what the fans who participate in it are feeling - no more and no less.

:)

Not everybody.

;)

I'm actually fairly happy with the way he's been playijng the kids recently, but his problems go much deeper.

We still have no defense and it certainly looks as though the team, or at least some of them, are just ignoring him.

There have to be a number of things working for a team to play as well as they did against the Lakers and then to revert to a game like tonight, which was a repeat of the Nuggets fiasco.

The old saying is that "Players win and coaches lose." In this case, Reggie has lost - and I have to wonder if he's lost the team and it was just playing the Lakers that made the difference.

It is not there job to report to you, they are allowed to have their opinion.
Okay....so what is their opinion? I'm sorry for wanting to know why they picked it. Since this is a place for Kings fans to talk to each other, I would like to know why Theus should stay. I'm not forcing anyone to say something, just want to know the other side of the fence's opinion.

I just wonder if the Lakers game on Tuesday was a fluke or if the game tonight was a fluke...seems so weird that we were coming off such an emotional high from Tuesday, and then staying in the game for so long in LA with a chance to win...to come to this? I know we are a bad team, but I don't even remember us doing this in the richmond days (at least not at home)!
