After swearing up and down I would not play Sunday kickball this year I'm in two leagues for the time being, so I'm ready for football but will miss much of the regular season until the end of October (at which point I'll also be a dad). I think that's a good thing after the ride I went on last year with the Pats.

But if you work the math you'll see at least one good thing came out of that tragic day :)

Speaking of the Pats, I am glad Tom Brady's foot is ok. I was starting to get worrried.....NOT.

I, too, am looking forward to football, however, watching the Giants vs Redskins just doesn't do it for me. And this Sunday, I am working, therefore, won't be able to enjoy the first Sunday of the seaon. Oh well.

I ended up watching tonight's game and man, it was boring. Washington is terrible. They are down by 9 points and the last 4 minutes of the 4th quarter, they are just taking their time. I guess they think they will get a 9 point TD and then the game will go into OT.

Yeah redskins offense is pretty bad. Giants offense looked good early but their drives would stall when they would get into scoring position and they would settle for field goals. Both teams get shut out in the second but since the giants were up they played looser and were able to convert on more third downs thus ending the game. The redskins never had a chance.

Waking up on Sunday for the first week of football reminds me of waking up on Christmas Morning as a kid!

GO SEAHAWKS!

For the first time in what seems like forever, I'm actually optimistic about this season. I don't have a lot of expectations but I do believe my Niners will at least be more fun to watch.

GO NINERS!!!

Yes, fun to watch rather than painful would be a big improvement. Here's hoping for a pass rush, a solid performance from JTO, and a breakout game for Josh Morgan.

Well yes, this is how I did it last year. There's something about the thrill of live that tivo doesn't capture, on the other hand the 30 second skip is perfect for skipping snap to snap and watching a whole game in under an hour.

It was his knee that was hit, I think. They showed it several times during the Seahawks game and he at least walked off the field on both legs.

Opps...meants to say kneee. Anyways, I'm at work, therefore, haven't been able to watch it. I sure hope he's ok. From what I've been reading, it doesn't sound good.

GO CHARGERS!!!!

Rough start to the season (again) but things are looking up. Rivers is starting to look like one of the better QB's in the NFL.

you know who's becoming one of my most hated players? Lance Moore from the saints! His reaction after every catch drives me crazy and he has that smirk on his face. Kind of reminds me of tony romo

SacKings, it was a good run, but Sunday the Broncos get back on track and its over for the Chargers. I'm sorry man it just has to be that way
I hope you're right but what a depressing season this may wind up being for me:
Team A: Loses franchise all NFL quarterback on the opening drive of the season yet rallies around back up QB who hasn't started since HS to 11-5 record only to miss the playoffs.

Team B: Has division "locked up" for an entire month but can't close the show.

And if neither team gets in I don't even think there's a like-able team for me to root for in the playoffs. Maybe Arizona but they can't win outside their division.
