Not that I have a problem with it, but it is interesting that some Laker fans prefer to discuss their game on a Kings board. Are you guys misfits in the Laker community or something? :)

I guess they just enjoy our company!

Hey, they love us. Besides, what's not to love? :D

It's more fun especially since the 2 teams have been in heated match-ups in the past. ;)

What do you mean? I've been banned by VladeFan21 before. That was back when piksi was a pup. ;)

Gargy, that was a very long time ago. Now we love you. We think you are very misguided, but we love you. Same goes for our dear friend hoopsie. :)

Game 3 will be the key for the Nuggets. If the Lakers win, they take a commanding lead. Melo & AI look like they've accepted defeat already.
Hope I'm wrong, but I feel a Gm3 loss if LA can't avoid one of their stars being wracked by fouls all game. They'll need every edge they can get on the road. Kobe needs to pick his spots too. I wouldn't be surprised if J.R. tries to add a non-vehicular death to his tally.

Everyone knows how I feel about the brave little soldier...

Having said that, I cannot believe the comment Carmelo Anthony made earlier today when he said he hoped he could just hit Kobe really hard once in the paint without being kicked out of the game. Head-hunting much Melo? Sour grapes over perceived favoritism in officiating?

Whatever it is, I hope it motivates Kobe to drop at least 60 points. That kind of stuff is just wrong, IMHO...

Suck it up Melo. Your team hasn't done their jobs. Don't blame Kobe or the officials.

They'll try it at least once, the success of which TBD. Probably someone like Nene or Klieza will do it.

Of course, it probably won't occur to Denver to just stay home so he can't get those drives. That would take actual commitment.

(edit) - Possible suspension for Najera tomorrow. Intentional elbow to Vujacic's chest. Flagrant 1 was given, which is a joke compared to what Haywood got ejected for.

Well you would love to have heard him say the entire team quit (coaches and players) today in the post game conference. Coming from a guy that was smiling while he was getting beat.

Amen to that. I knew you had a soft spot for Kobe somewhere. ;)

carmelos a punk and he sucks. Him and his one on one play. Can't believe some people(not on this site) used to compare him to Lebron. Melo can go have fun fishing with lala

I dont know how many of you watched the game tonight but it was the same old story the nba gives the lakers so much. There were so many bad calls going against denver it made me sick. Its the freakin playoffs and the refs handicapped the nuggets in the 4th. Now i am not saying denver played great ball but i will tell you the game was not called right PERIOD. Damn you bavetta you screwed the kings years back against the lakers i freakin hate you.

Like moving screens on K-Mart 1? Blame the Nuggz. When you thug it up, and I assume you didn't watch Gm3, you're begging for the refs to call everything small.

And do you know what? I think I'll begrudgingly admit that Vujacic maaaay just be a flopper. How's that for fair?

Melo was eeeee....like a carton of rotten milk with a dead trout floating in it. I didn't think he was a "great" player to begin with, but I am surprised that he's capable of playing as bad as he did in the last 2 gms. He missed so many layups by finger rolling the ball instead of dropping it in. Just a dunce.

Glad you were a witness to Kobe's 4th Qtr. You got a good show.

Now that's descriptive prose at its very best!!!

The Nuggets didn't deserve to win anything; they didn't show any heart, and they were reduced to whining over calls even when they were clearly not even trying to make a real game out of it.

That entire team, IMHO, needs a gut check really bad...

They're the biggest waste of talent assembled IMO. Bunch of good individual players but they are really badly fit together as a team. They don't have complimentary pieces. They have a bunch of slashers and not nearly enough 3 point shooters(the only good 3 point shooter they have is JR Smith). They have good shotblockers but no post defenders(well I guess Nene is good at post D but he had cancer and missed nearly the whole season). Their perimeter D is absolutely awful especially with the AI/Carter midget backcourt. They need to blow that team up, they were better with Andre Miller at PG. AI/Melo are a terrible match also.

In the defense of George Karl and their GM, none of that stuff you listed is possible with a team that depends on AI, Melo, Kmart, and JR. That's what the NBA analysts and reporters can't say without fear of the PC police. That situation is just a step or two under the old Jail Blazer crew. JR needs to be dumped for anyone with character, stat. The other three they're stuck with (dollar wise).

For years, I've thought AI was overrated as anything more than a scorer. But like you implied, they fell in love with the mystique and traded away a solid, multi-faceted, boring player for him (ask Dallas about that). I can't think their front office isn't noticing that Philly is 2-2 with Detroit right now.
