Comments about the Bibby trade

This was a funny comment I found about the Bibby trade:

"TNT's Kenny Smith, noting on the air last week that he found it neat that the Sacramento Kings took out a full-page newspaper ad thanking Mike Bibby for his time with the team, said: "I've been traded and didn't get even a letter."

Said broadcast partner Charles Barkley: 'That's the difference between you and Mike Bibby.'"

Lol. Leave it to Charles.

Everybody should remember the ads they have taken out for players in the paper the next time people want to criticize the Maloofs and their care or actions towards players.

Ads? I think this makes a total of ONE the Maloofs have taken out. What am I forgetting?

The only other full-page ad I remember was the one Webber paid for and the players supported that thanked the fans.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful to Joe and Gavin for showing the love for Bibby, but I think it's the only time they've done it.

I agree. People keep mentioning the difference between how Rick was treated when he left, but what about Webb... he paid for his own ad!! I think that the ad taken out by Webb was very classy, and I think that the Maloofs showed good taste in putting one out for Mike. There are a lot of players that come and go on a basketball team, but some of them really leave their mark. It's nice to take a moment and reflect on what was back when, especially when our other choice is to look at the current state of the team! ;)
