I am looking forward for 2 series , this one and of course suns/spurs . I can see this going 7 games , bulls did win 3/4 games, should have actually won all 4 of them . But you can never count off the pistons , due to their championship experience like the spurs in the western conference. Either way the bulls and raptors are two teams that are set for the future . My gut feeling says that the bulls will win.Obviously it depends Big Ben's revenge factor and Loul Deng's ability to matchup with Prince .

Okay, let's see how everyone feels.

I'm adding a public poll for people to pick the team they think will win...

voted Pistons. rooting Pistons all the way thru the Finals.
It will be a great gut check for my man CWebb to see how well he can check big Ben.

I don't underestimate the Bulls... I think this is a massive test for the Pistons and it will be hard for them to win.

Bulls in 7. Expecting a hard fought well played series. Big Ben is in the Windy City now and that is likely the key to the series...

[DET/CHI] Game 1

Pistons with an early lead in the second quarter of 9 points.

And, if you're watching the game, you may have just witnessed the fastest CWebb has run in the past 5 years, as he created a steal on the defensive end, then *filled the right lane* AND finished on the break with a two-hand jam (and was fouled, but no call).

I just enjoyed seeing CWebb actually get up and go.

Note to Chicago: THIS is what happens when you spend an entire week poking a sleeping tiger with a stick....

Nobody has talked **** to us before a series since LA in 2004. This is why. The last thing you want is a motivated Pistons team.

Well, I like it! Hopefully the motivation can carry through the rest of the series. :) Although I'm hoping Webb will play better...

CWebb certainly could've played better, but I thought he played pretty well. And, I think his minutes were truly limited by the fact that the DET bench played so well, so there was no reason to have him out there. Just about everyone who stepped on the floor for the Pistons played pretty well.

The adjustment that Skiles needs to make is Gordon not to pick up 2 fouls in first 2 minutes of the game. He has to score 20+ for Chicago to be close.
But another great game for the Pistons.

That's true, there wasn't a need to really bring him back out there when things were going so well. I didn't really get to see part of the game where he was in the game (it was my son's First Communion) so I don't have a good feel for how he played except for what I could get off the box score. I guess I should have said that I hope he will be more of a factor in the games to come. :) I am a little picky, I really want him to get a ring AND be a major factor in helping to earn it.

Bulls won't get far without a post presence. Sure, we could talk about prospective JO or Gasol blockbusters, but I'm hoping we can get something out of them for SAR.

I voted for the Pistons for 1 reason and 1 reason only. For Webber to get a ring. If the Kings can't do it then my favorite ex-King should get him one before he retires. This could be his last shot.

What I never realized about Webb when he was on the Kings was just how smart of a BBall player he is. His feel for the game is supernatural. It is fun watching him abuse opposing players.

well, that doesn't surprise me. he preferred chucking jumpshots all the time. he was actually a pf with one of the lowest fg percentage in the league, but he doesn't have that freedom with the pistons, and its paying off big time.

A more accurate portrayal would be to recall that Webber was The Man on the Kings, and was often in the position where he had to make something happen with the shot clock winding down, and/or had to create offense for himself. He did take bad shots, and I won't apologize for him on that point... but sometimes he took bad shots because he had to take bad shots.

On the Pistons, Webber doesn't have to be The Man, and doesn't have the pressure of being the guy that has to make something happen. On the Kings, if Stojakovic or Bibby couldn't get open, Webber had to make something happen himself. On the Pistons, all Webber has to do is take what the defense gives him.
