OAKLAND, Calif.(AP) Matt Barnes scored a career-high 24 points, including 17 in the third quarter, and the Golden State Warriors handed the Utah Jazz just their second loss of the season with a 91-78 victory Saturday night.
Troy Murphy had 15 points and 12 rebounds for Golden State, which snapped a three-game losing streak. Andris Biedrins added 14 points and 17 rebounds and Monta Ellis chipped in with 21 points.
The Jazz shot just 32.5 percent from the floor and committed 23 turnovers while being held to their lowest point total of the season. It's just the second time this season Utah has been held below 100 points.
Utah, which had an eight-game losing streak snapped, still owns the best NBA's best record at 12-2 and has matched the best start in franchise history. Both losses have come on the road.
The Warriors (8-6) never trailed and led by as much 20 points late in the fourth quarter.

I'm glad it appears Matt has finally found his niche. I wish him all good luck in the world - except, of course, when he plays the Kings.

I remember playing ball with Matt and his little brother at the gym a few months after his UCLA team got knocked out of march madness - does anyone know what happened to his brother? He was a strong ball player as well - much smaller though.
