What TV shows are you watching?

#1
Inspired by the movie-watching thread, I decided to start one for TV shows. So feel free to talk about any TV show, old or new. There sure seem to be a lot of really good new shows on this season. I don't know when I'll get a chance to watch all these shows that people keep raving about. 'Heroes' seems to be getting the most raves, and it does sound really interesting. I watched some of 'Ugly Betty' last night and that had a lot of humorous moments. I loved how they skewered the fashion industry, even taking subtle jabs at some real-life fashions icons such as Donatella Versace, whom one of the characters appears to be based on. I also liked how it snuck in some serious moments too to add depth. At the same time I was watching 'My Name is Earl' and 'CSI Miami'. I missed how the murder of the Danny Bonaduce character was solved, rats! 'Earl' was good as it usually is.

Prison Break is really it now as far as must see along with the Daily Show and The Colbert Report. I had been watching Vanished after PB even though its pretty stupid and may switch to Heroes. The other shows I was watching regularly are done now - Brotherhood, Rockstar and The Contender.

Top Chef when it comes back on.

The new Sunday series on Showtime Dexter looks good too, premiers this Sunday starring Michael C Hall of Six Feet Under fame as a coroner/serial killer.

Loved The Office and My Name is Earl before they got moved to Thursdays (I am always busy on Thursdays). Now that I have DVR I may try to get back into them.

^i'm not ashamed to admit it. edgy series that is both fun and intense at times. could be considered a guilty pleasure, cept for i never actually feel guilty afterwards. very entertaining.

i also dig entourage, the wire, top chef, the contender and of course the sopranos.

also, i am still years later lobbying for someone to bring back the kingpin t.v. series.. it was stellar.

So after watching the premiere of Dexter last night it stands a great chance of becoming my new favorite show. If you have Showtime be sure and check it out.

Last night the SciFi Channel ran a mini-marathon of 'Tales from the Darkside'. I love that show and hadn't seen it in years. Good, campy horror, and the scariest intro and theme song ever!

I still catch south park sometimes, it cracks me up everytime. There was an episode the other day that had me on the floor laughing. I also like family guy, futurama, robot chicken, drawn together (haha) and american dad. I also like Cold Case.

Shows I wish they would bring back include third watch, american dreams and kingpin.

1. Grey's Anatomy
2. Friday Night Lights
3. Like Desperate Housewives
4. The First 48
The First 48 is a really good reality show that I wish I could handle watching more of. I've seen a few episodes, and it was really interesting. I've always been sort of a crime buff, so I am interested in seeing how the investigative, etc., process works. However, I can't stomach the fact that they show the crime scenes, bodies and all. That is just too disturbing to see. I guess though that I could just always turn my head away when they show that part.

Studio 60 is great! I set up a season pass on my TIVO for it after the first episode. Haven't had much time to check out any other new shows.

The Office is my favorite show on right now, and I'm hoping there will be good, new comedy this season that is worth watching (now that Arrested Development is off the air). :(
