I watched. I certainly hope they can avoid the obvious pitfalls - like the escaped prisoners taking townspeople hostage, etc. I enjoyed the first episode but I have to wonder just how long they'll be able to keep the premise going. Of course, I thought the same thing about "Lost," and they seem to be doing okay.

I thought this show was going to be about the band Fozzy. I was excited! Then, I saw the previews. :(

I was thinking the same thing. I did like the show and I hope that they can create new ideas instead of the run of the mill mass hysteria when disaster hits type of thing. Speaking of Lost, when is it supposed to start?

I watched the first episode; but since it may be hitting way to close to home I don't think I have the intestinal fortitude to stay with this show. Last night on CNN I heard a Pakistani reporter say that Al Qaeda has smuggled nuclear material into America via the Mexican border and the man is here to pull it off--well I haven't been sleeping all that well. I sure hope someone recognizes this terrorist and turns him in!!!!

Well, that's gonna be a tough comment to follow...

By that logic, you cannot watch 24 either.

I liked the first episode a good concept, dialogue seemed better than Lost, which is the part of that show that sometimes makes it hard to watch. I would guess it will go downhill from here. Writers would have to be really creative to keep me watching.

That's what concerns me. With this kind of show, unless the writing is top notch, with the director unwilling to compromise quality, it will soon look more like a bad 50s sci-fi movie than anything else.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. For one thing, I like Gerald McRaney.

There is intel that Al Qaeda has plans to pull off a nuclear attack in America in the near future. It is not a fictional plot on a television show. FYI if anyone is interested to help find the mad man who the FBI believes is here to try to pull off said nuclear attack you can go to the most wanted website and look under terrorists of interest. There is a 5 million dollar reward for him and his name is Adnan G. El Shukrijumah along with several aliases that he also uses.

Dang, dude. Way to kill a thread.

<--dudette and sorry :( not meaning to kill a thread. Just sitting here late at night, the world seems to have gone crazy and knowing that knowledge is power and the more people that are looking for this evil _ _ _ _ the better chances are to catch him.

Oops. I knew it was "dudette." Sorry, but don't feel badly. I call Kingsgurl "Dude," too. ;)

The world went crazy a long time ago. We're just now able to hear about it more because of modern technology.

I guess I'm just the opposite. I come to this board for relaxation, to share some light moments with my Kings fans friends, etc. It's a bit of an escape from the world we live in...

Anyway, threads take on lives of their own. I'll just remind people if they're going to talk about this, they need to remember the restriction against politics and religion.

:)

Point well taken. I myself usually come here for the same. I am not ususally a fun sucker. :) I will post future comments about anything "nuclear" at the doomsday forum.;) :D

I saw the episode.

I enjoyed it for the most part. The Mayor bugged me in general. The tracheotomy of the girl on the bus with the kids was ehhh I dunno. The gal at the end gets out to stand in the middle of all the dead birds/crows after she was just thumping all over them in her car. Nobody would get out and stand there.

But I'll try and watch.

Anybody else recognize the mayor as Major Dad?

Major Dad? What about Rick Simon?

;)

Well, last night's episode was okay, IMHO... I'm still going to watch.

just watched the shows the other night and I have to say, this is IMO the best New series out there. Has some prision break elements to it... even has the same lawyer lady.

Like the comments above I wonder how far they can take this, just as I said with Prison Break. It will be interesting for sure... good show, the nukes going off in Ep01 gave me chills, its almost to realistic.

Done with this one. The dialogue took a serious dive on this last episode. I enjoyed the SpongeBob Squarepants book that I read my kids that night much better!
