That Charlotte game was just nuts.

Not bad though for Monte's resume that the player you trade your "franchise" for gets POTW a few weeks after the deal.
It took Zach a hot minute to get his Kings legs under him, but let's hope last week is a taste of what he really has to give.

(I'll settle for 50% three point shooting from here on out, I'm not greedy or anything)

Kind of shocking that it's his 11th year and he's been on one team that finished over .500.
you have to wonder how far into that you get before being a competitor is replaced with being a professional. Not to say you can’t be both, because of course you can but I’m guessing your internal expectations change at some point. Hopefully actually playing for a playoff spot makes him an even better player.

Zach is outplaying the former "franchise" player AND we got 2 unprotected 1st round picks and a bunch of 2nd round picks and LaRavia (basically) from that Fox trade.

Not a bad return considering Fox backed Monte up against the wall right before the trade deadline. :)

If I did my math correctly, the Kings will have two Second Round Picks for the next 4 drafts (assume the Charlotte pick converts to two second rounders in '26 and '27). That's a really nice little bonus that should help keep the roster replete with some young talent. Our FO has proven to be above average at finding under scouted talent as well.
