The Kings seem disjointed to me right now; there’s little flow to their offense. Not enough passing, too much one on one. They should have beat this team by 20+. I think they need a good point guard to settle things down (and several good practices).
Not a lot of teams beating them by 20 + points with a healthy Zion on the floor, i can assure you.

Not sure how many 7 + assist games LaVine had for the Bulls, but i love seeing him do this for us. I love seeing the adjustments he’s been making here.
his athleticism and shooting touch is most definitely not being maximized yet. Kings do a lot of read and react but I’m hoping they can figure out how to get him some cleaner looks from 3 for him and to figure out some cutting off Domas.

When do you say that enough is enough with Keegan Murray? He has regressed in almost every category after that great rookie season. Do we just let him go for nothing and then sign someone to take his spot? Do we give him more time?

what?! Regressed in almost every way? That sounds like something someone would say if they don’t watch games and just check box scores.

Kings fan wanted to run HB out of town because he was the 5th option and now they want to run Keegan out of town for the same reason? Kings replaced a 10 point a game player with a 22 point a game hall of famer this offseason. What exactly did fans think was going to happen when we did that? We scored 119 points tonight, do you really think we needed another 18 from Keegan?

the team is not going to have five 18 point or better scorers in the starting 5. Not one team in the league has that. Crazy

We kept Pelicans in 25% from 3, we shot 45 3s making 16 of them (35% is just ok)
We managed to avoid turnovers after the 1st quarter
We didn't foul a 3 point shot (for.. 3rd match in a row?)
We had Keon in the 1st half playing for... 15-16 minutes non stop? There were 2 Kings run and 1 Pels in that time
We had Domas with foul trouble early in the game and it didn't cost us cause J-Val is decent in both sides of the floor.

Since Keegan is mentioned above, he should have been the DPOG if not Keon. Murphy didn't kill us and he was coming from 9 matches with 20+ points or something like that. Pelicans had 70 points in the paint on the other hand with Sabonis letting them the last 5' of first half to avoid getting his 4th foul.

Agreed, Keegan played good defensively and had a nice all around game ( 7 boards, 5 assists).Hard to score in double digits on 5 shots

I'm fairly certain we "promised" to draft him, didn't actually draft him and he's held that against us for 12 years
I’m still holding drafting Ben McLemore (over CJ and Giannis) against the KINGS, too.

That said, none of the front office from those days (personnel decisions) are still working for the KINGS sans Vivek. So there is that.

So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

Listen to Doug talk about Keegan in the press conference. He's going nowhere. Talked about all he did elsewhere and how he is doing what he is "assigned", only given 5 shots.

I hope that the team will see fit to re-insert him into the offense so he can find some consistency but this was a choice by our now fired coach. Blame Brown.

To me It starts and ends with roster construction.

Option 1- Deebo
Option 2- Sabonis
Option 3 Lavine
Option 4 Monk
Option 5 Keegan

no offensive sets or play calls is going to change the fact that he is the 5th guy scoring wise.

He can be a 15-19 point a game guy in this league, maybe more if things really came together but I don’t anticipate that happening in the next couple years. If a Lavine or Deebo is traded I could see his role changing significantly but until then fans should expect 10-15 points most nights with rebounding and defense. Hes essentially playing the Aaron Gordon role for the team. And actually he is a good example, a number one or two option with Orlando to a number 4 or 5 on Denver.

I think one (or maybe even both) will get traded. Both have contracts that end in 27 (unless extended). Deebo's contract is very reasonable for a player of his production, and should be tradeable if we so choose.

With our pick likely conveying to Atlanta, and us potentially losing LaRavia, trade will be our best bet to upgrade/balance out the roster. Monte has always gone the route of acquiring the best talent he could, and try to balance out the roster. Given the need to find minutes for Keon/Carter, shots for Keegan, and more help on the wings, trading one of these guys makes most sense. I think Deebo will garner interest around the league. Someone had posted about Mavs potentially being interested in him, and that makes ample sense to me. Let's see.

How many games early in the season were we missing our main guys and Keegan didn’t step up calling him a 15-19ppg is fantasy at this point

The only category of consequence that Keegan has regressed in is 3-point shooting. His rebounding and defense have become exceptional qualities necessary to make the Kings a better team. I mean, they've loaded the starting unit with 20 PPG scorers, so of course Keegan's share of shots with the starters was going to decrease. The starting lineup is no longer designed with a need for Keegan to be a scorer. But when he and Keon share the floor, it's defensive havoc.

We are absolutely at our best when Keon and Keegan are on the floor together.
