DeMar Darnell “Deebo” “Big Okra” DeRozan, Future Hall of Famer

He's unbelievable... I was always pretty confident with Fox in the clutch, although that started to wain a little over the past ~18mths...Deebo is just next level tho

As Tizzy said, it's his ability to rise to the tough moments throughout the game as well that, while is doesn't count towards the NBAs "clutch" stats, is 100% clutch in context to stopping runs, keeping us in a game or composing the team. He just seems understand what's needed and has the ability and demeanour to deliver it.

Very confident with Demar controlling the final minutes of a game.

The best thing about DeMar is he ALWAYS gives 100%, he doesn't disappear, 100% TEAM PLAYER, he doesn't throw negative body language, and he doesn't pout like a petulant child. That's how I like my NBA players, unlike another who shall go unnamed.
He is an absolute and total professional.

This team is starting to gel faster than I thought. Really, really hoping we can get these last two before the all star break.

Also, I absolutely love this Two Headed Lithuanian Monster lineup Doug has been throwing out there. JV compliments Domas very nicely on defense and actually makes Domas' defense more effective as he then becomes oversized guarding the weak side. Kinda brilliant ngl.

Oh we gotta a Wise Guy over heaaahhhh! lolol.

Unlike the Greeks, I am happy for my Culture Game to be stolen. We will conquer the world through exquisite Italian recipes. It's our form of diplomacy.

Eggplant Parm is beyond reproach. Solid play.

Getting DeMar made Fox expendable.
TBH Fox made Fox expendable. But DeMar does the clutch performer every bit as well and is also a team leader in every way that the other guy was not. We may have an overload of leader guys now but that's really only a problem if you are a sub-.500 team. If Carter pans out you can see Monte was already looking past Fox this past summer between those two acquisitions instead of going all in with a "big name" big wing.

I put that in quotes because the big names we were linked to are really kinda mid.

Excellent post and could not agree more. I will also say that if the "leaders" are true leaders you can never have enough of them. Because a true leader leads by serving. We suffered the LeBroN eRa and got confused by what a "leader" was. 80s Celtics teams had leaders 1-5. Bird, McHale, Parish, Ainge, Johnson.

You know there are only a handful of things I don’t particularly enjoy eating. Okra, Nopales and….. eggplant. I don’t mind it in a stir fry but don’t really like it coated in anything.
I will let Vinny defend eggplant Parm, but I will not sit still, and have anyone disrespect okra, there is no way to make a good gumbo without okra. In life without gumbo is just as bad as life without jazz.
