De'Aaron Fox Traded to Spurs for Zach Lavine, three first round picks

Found it interesting that Mark Jones said Fox called Castle and said “I’m coming there and don’t want you included in the trade to Sacramento.”

I have little doubt Fox is proud he was able to keep the Spurs from giving up anything and had no problem crapping on the org on his way out and making sure we had no negotiation leverage.
Lets see how Montes 4 D chess works here. Fox might regret it.

I sensed that the vibes were off this year... What if this whole time, it was because of Fox??

I know it’s easy to trash on the guy now that he’s gone, but the rest of the season will be very telling.
I have no doubt Fox was trying to sabotage the team to get himself to SA without getting backlash as a locker room cancer. I think Coach Brown was just collateral damage. His little photo-op with Brown after his firing was just Fox's team trying to control the narrative and make him look like the good guy.

The dude never intended to re-sign with the Kings and he wanted to make it look like it was the Kings fault, when he was half a**ing it the whole year. If you really want out, be a man and don't try to sabotage the team on your way out.

I really think Mike Brown was the fall guy and the Kings were desperate to make Fox happy. Despite our win streak, he still wanted out. Don’t really care for Fox anymore

Not if we fall apart in the process. I don't think Monte took a worse deal to make Fox happy.
Yeah, Fox's team probably told anyone interested that he was not going to resign with them and was going to San Antonio in the summer of 2026. I'm sure he sabotaged his own market to get to SA and help them give up as little as possible.

It was actually a small miracle the Kings got what they did from SA, knowing the circumstances that Fox put them in.

He completely tarnished his legacy by pulling that.
