Dude hadn’t played in damn near a year. He deserves a ton more grace and at least another season
I agree but the mechanics of his shot concerns me. I think he is great defensively, can slide his feat, etc. But whether he can shoot and playmake remains to be seen. With Fox gone he is going to get some minutes to show his value now.

Look bro I know I'm super popular and well liked on this forum and picking a fight with me is fun and all, but your animosity really is coming out of left field. I literally have no idea why you're upset. Have whatever food you need to to calm down ok Tony? I have no issue with you.
You need to do a better job at reading into my emojis...:):):)

Off topic but i pray Vivek or whoever makes the decisions, can get us a play-by play announcer that not only loves this team, but can do the job full time. This franchise is worth Billions lol there’s no excuse.

People giving on Keegan Murray in any way are going to feel crazy in a short amount of time. This dude consistently shows flashes of things i wouldn’t expect him to do
I honest to goodness don't understand people who have written him off just on his defense alone. Especially when people think we should have moved him to get a finesse big.

That's what jumps out at me as well. His shot is slow but somehow looks rushed and touch around the rim is clunky and awkward af, even the ones he makes. I don't watch College ball so not sure if it's rust or that's just him but nothing feels or looks fluid

I'm not sure I remember him taking a drive to the rim that hasn't resulted in him crashing to the floor. I believe there is a big transition period happening right now for him, so definitely not writing him off by any means. I just can't really remember seeing a player move, shoot and tumble around quite like him before that has been a success. I absolutely love his tenacity and swagger. But (at least for the moment) he is just a very wonky player. Like you, I didn't follow him in college much at all so maybe this is just what he is and it all "works" when his shot is falling and he pulls things together.

His release has always been less than ideal but he did shoot for a strong percentage his last year in college. Many people outside the Kings organization loved him coming out and said this was a great pick, and of course we had a glut of guards when we made it. I imagine we'll be patient with him and some more time in the G-League wouldn't kill him just to get his MPG up.

If there’s a in-game adjustment I would make if I were Christie is to make sure Keegan has a set play or 2 each quarter. When he’s on a rhythm, it’s beautiful to see. Minnesota made some defensive adjustments against him and he didn’t see the ball much after that. Sabonis is very good at feeding the hot hand, but sometimes you need a play or 2 to free him up

It looks like the game is moving too fast for him right now. There were a few moments were he had the drive, he blew by his defender, and passed into the defense instead of taking it up strong. Definitely needs some work running the fast break especially if he’s grabbing boards and initiating the break. Hopefully they make him watch Josh Hart video as he’s evolved into one of the more efficient scorers out there

I'm sure once LaVine gets integrated Keegan will get more looks. As for set plays, I guess that remains to be seen.

If any team wants Carter in a trade instead of a first. I’m all in.
I’m thinking that while he plays a little out of control, he hasn’t really been given the opportunity to show what he is/will be fully capable of doing. He had no real training camp, missed half the season, had minimal full on practice time with the team, and when he does play it’s only for ten minutes at a time. What I have seen is lots of hustle and enthusiasm, a reasonably good looking shot, pretty solid defense when he is in the lineup. Granted, he has a ways to go, but I’m seeing some things that I like. I’m going to wait a little bit before I pass judgement on this young man.

Agreed. Even without the benefits you mentioned (training camp for example), he's able to hang defensively against seasoned pros. I'm willing to give this some time...

Monk is a natural born leader and the heart of this team. He's vocal, positive, energetic and fearless.

Something I can't say about a certain former teammate, who never seemed to be vocal nor motivating to his teammates during games.

Fox leaving may help Monk unlock his full potential and elevate his career, much like when Jalen Brunson got out from under Luka's shadow in NYK.
. My sentiments exactly. So my birthday is in a couple of days. What I wanted from my wife for my birthday is a jersey, but I couldn’t decide if it was gonna be a Fox or a Monk jersey. I told her I’m just gonna wait till the trade deadline and see who is still here.
