Kings have 11 games in February. How many will they win?

Maybe the tank is the plan then, so we keep our pick. Because seriously, what's the solution if Fox is still here past the deadline? Shut him down for surgery?
Having him play the rest of year on the team would be like having your girlfriend tell you she plans on seeing a new person in 4 months but is totally cool living together until then. You can still take her on dates if you want.

I’m not even mad at Fox, he has been a great player for the kings and by all accounts a good person/teammate/community member. As Avon Barksdale would say, “its just business”.

Move him this deadline or let him get that surgery and let us see what we have with Monk/ Keon/ Carter.

Also not a good look when Sabonis isn’t getting 20 easily vs Jaylin Williams and whoever Philly was throwing out there
Sabonis should be begging to exploit those matchups. Even Valanciunas would have abused those guys. He's trying to make plays for our bricklayers. We're still playing like a three point shooting team that has Barnes and OG Beam Team Heurter. We need to play to our strengths.

Well, Coach Christie is now tested by fire how the team comes out for the next game is more about him than anything else
Maybe, but is it really on him though if this team is stays downtrodden?

I'll be honest, I was getting all the way back into Kings basketball, just started believing in this team again and this whole situation has sucked the fun out of rooting for this team. Not really mad, just don't really care right now. Sad spot to be in as a fan.

So that’s actually happened to you too?

We got a whole starting lineup too good to be on the bench and not good enough to start. Such a terrible situation.

Who are you really going to bench when the new guys come in?

Monk? The best bright spot of the year
Ellis? Who everyone wants to start and or Carter who should he a starter next year or bust. Who wants to come in knowing that as a free agent
Murray- Who is our best defense player but streaky inconsistent and non aggressive scorer
Derozen, a proven vet who's 4th quarter is criticule to our success but defense is trash

Sabonis is the only clear cut start on every team player after fox is gone, yet the other players can start too, and I dont see us bringing in anyone better than those other guys.

Whos Cam going to take out the starting lineup?

I know I don’t think this is Doug’s fault, it’s anything but. However, it is unfortunately his job to get the team to perform on court regardless of the circus outside. I won’t even fall him if he can’t do it unfortunately it could come back to haunt him in the short term in view of his status as an interm coach. I wish him well and I do have some faith that he can get the team to focus and start winning with or without fox with or without the distractions.

No, I literally typed "its not what they do but how they do it". So maybe try reading first? His family wants to be closer to home. His team isn't winning. And his organization is lead by clowns. The question was "what more does the franchise need to do?" and my answer is: be grown ups and make better decisions to keep talent.
Literally went out and got one of the top available players in the offseason. Significantly improved the team.

The team went on a tear for two and a half weeks immediately prior to the trade request. He wants to go to a team with a worse record.

It was never about any of that. He's moving on for personal reasons, as you indicated. Fine. He's essentially putting in for a transfer.

Since the fox crap started, we played 2 terrible games. Though 'distractions" shouldn't be an excuse. I'm in construction. Everyday has plenty distractions to us. Yet, at the end of day it always looks like we had it easy and we are overpaid :)
Even Domas last 2 games was not the same. Needless to say that fox had Domas' back all the time. ASG break can't come sooner.
~25% from the distance, defensive "effort" - just a pure horror.

Rich Paul and Fox killed the season. I’d even say the next 5 years. Unless we get a star back from Fox I am not returning to this team. The league is literally the WWE. Luckily I’ll save so much money cutting the nba from my life.
Calm down sir. Kings fans have been through worse.

Not going to lie tho. Our top two player pulling this stunt on a winning streak hurts. Makes me mad honestly, but better to pull this band aid off fast.

Now I'm starting to get angry at the GM more than fox for allowing this to continue. Trade his ass already

Man, the mood swings in these threads...

Here you tell another poster to calm down while posting this in the De'Aaron Fox trade thread:

We are screwed.

We are not trading Fox and our season is over. The GM has no Balls
Fox has no Balls

You need balls to win, not just basketballs either.

Say what you want about this ridiculous trade, Mavs have a better chance of winning today than they did yesterday. They got rid of two ball handlers and now have one, who happneds to also be a generational talent.

Mavs will be fine. It's us I'm worried about
These two posts are less than five minutes apart!

At least Isaac Jones had a good game, enough so that the coaches have to consider giving him more minutes in future. In 17 minutes, he was 3-3 with 3 rebounds, an assist, and a steal. He has active hands, like Keon.
I was a bit annoyed that when Trey Lyles came back from his injury all of Isaac Jone's minutes disappeared.

Too early for the Minnesota game thread, but I was at the last one in Minnesota, and this team can pull it out if they can get out of their collective funk. The Timberwolves will be without Julius Randle and DiVincenzo, while Anthony Edwards is ill and Naz Reid has a finger sprain. The schedule gets easier after the Orlando game on Wednesday.
