So, either this is an ugly game, where everyone mails it in until stuff is figured out, or, the team says "to hell with it" and balls out, whether a win or loss.
IDK about you, but this is where coaches earn their paycheck.
That should have been a game where players like Isaac Jones and Devin Carter get 15-20 easy. Now Doug might learn a very tough lesson as to why. End of a long road trip game incoming.
I was on such a high a week or two ago thinking, "who is this team?" But I should have had someone pinch me, because I should have known that it was too good to be true and that we couldn't sustain it It just sucks man to go from such a high to such a low once again. Hopefully we can get some good draft picks for next season and make some changes. Because this team as it is isn't going anywhere.
I don't blame the team. OKC is already one of the best teams we've seen in a long time and our squad just got hit with a nuclear bomb emotionally. There's just no world all the drama over the last few days doesn't just seep into the guys playing on the floor. And you see it, the team we saw for 15 games under Christie before this news is night and day from what we've seen in the last 2.
The team is just dust until the trade deadline. And if we keep Fox after, I hope we sit him out for surgery and move on that way.

Maybe, but this was coming. Run your rotations like Christie did/does, busting guys 40 minute levels in clear losses that only made the end score look better and bad runs are coming. ESPECIALLY on road trips like this. Christie being near sighted to get back in the play in race was right, once he was in it he had to realize that there was a lot of season left so busting through all your ammo and energy with this many games left can cost you in the long run. The Kings are starting to lose in all the hustle areas and yeah, I'm sure the news is affecting their play but tired play usually results in things like, you know, role guys putting up major numbers and wiping the floor with you. The Thunder are rolling but even the weaker teams eventually start meeting you eye to eye.
Because they are on the trade block and people thought we could get them. But the asking price (especially with Fox not interested in re-signing) is too high.
A coasting Fox
An entire team of 13 players with a negative +/-
A disheartened fanbase
A mediocre organization
Young players getting hardly any playing time in a blowout
But those 2 are what we NEED?
