Sickening

Sengun is Domas-lite in every category. EVERY category.

That’s not just a snub. It’s a slap in the face. Almost like they were making a point of it.

“What would most make it clear how lowly we think of Domas? Ah. We’ll select Diet Domas instead”

There is no case for Sengun over Domas. ZERO

To be honest I never get involved during the trade dead lines and the draft picks and stuff only because of “reliable sources”BS comments, I personally have no clue who the draft picks are or how they played their personal stats etc. I look at the trades are just the trades and just roll with them

But I do effn care again, for another effn year once again the Kings get no respect. I didn’t know or realize, that even if the players get voted aren’t having a great year with their “numbers” or the fact teams are not doing fantastic but still manage to vote for players almost the same ones year after year? And as a Proud Sacramento Kings Fan I find it so effn hard to accept/believe Domas Sabonis once again get screwed. With all the records he’s broken, along with too many hard fouls not being called on him, and still comes out hard every damn game in his warrior mode…. didn’t even make the reserves??? SMFH WITH MY MIDDLE FINGER EXTENDED

This is a big reason why Fox wants out IMO. The players don’t get recognition without winning and why Sengun and JJJ got in over Sabonis.
That’s a copout. Fox and Sabonis got in when we won games. Rockets and Grizzlies turned things around and are #2 and #3 in the west. They deserve at least a player or 2. You go 13-18 with an awful home record, make dumb mental errors against the likes of the Pistons and then your coach gets fired as a result leads to stuff like this. Sabonis is way deserving but his “star” teammate let him down

Sorry all, I must admit the last week has killed all the joy out of watching nba basketball. It’s clear the nba hates Sacramento and now Fox has got the team blacklisted by Rich Paul. I can’t support a sport that talks about Bronny James non-stop but ignores a history making season from Sabonis. I’m done nba. Hope yall keep up the fight. After 40 years they successfully beat me down enough. No more

bro chill, its gonna be alright lol
The team is still loaded with talent, they have all their future picks and theyre gonna get a great haul for Fox.
We all know Domas is more then worthy so who cares if the league thinks otherwise. Let them underrate him while he drops 20-18-10 on their heads.

In the first "beam team" season after many times the Kings won a game Sabonis was posting the same story in instagram with Silver getting pissed talking to the phone that Kings won. I don't think that went well around the association. I know that coaches are the ones that voted but still. Also Harden and Ant get the "guard" positions, i don't know where J-Dub is but all the others are frontcourt.
The joke for one more season is that Lakers have 2 players in the ASG, and most people were shocked that AD wasn't a starter (which he deserved at least more than the 40 year old statpadder that spent the 4th quarter at Philly with reserves just to reach 30 points and then asked to be subbed shouting at the bench).

It’s been 40 years and about 5 of them were good. There is only so much beating a horse can take. No excuses for the sport that talks unendingly about Bronny and never about players that can actually play. Trying to talk myself into the we have talent thing and we will get a haul from Fox, but we know we are the kangz and it just won’t get better. We are forced competing at the bottom or just to make the play in. I am happy for your positive outlook but mine put up a fight for so long I need a year or two off

Looking at the guys who didn't make it this year vs. who did, these might be the worst All Star rosters that I've ever seen. LaMelo Ball and Tyrese Maxey are sitting at 4th and 6th in the league in scoring. These guys should be the starters for the East and they don't even make the squad? Luka is injured but you can't just leave him off the roster entirely like 28, 8, and 8 is run of the mill. You just make Kyrie his injury replacement and Dallas still has a player at the game. Trae Young is leading the league in assists, not there. Sabonis is leading the league in rebounds, not there. Booker and Fox are more deserving of being All Stars in 2025 than either Curry or Harden and I'm sorry but OKC does not need two All Stars at the expense of all of the above.

I've been saying this for awhile but it's not just zero defense and a hundred threes that have killed the All Star game ... It's this whole clique mentality which rewards having the right connections more than production. Do I need to watch LeBron, Giannis, KD, Curry, and Harden sleepwalk through yet another All Star game? I do not. It's a crappy product because this whole process gatekeeps out players who might actually care enough to try.

If record is what matters than why is Wemby in here?I understand if record is used to put someone over the top comparing 2 players that are close but Sengun is not close at all.
What do you think Spurs record would be without Wemby? I mean there’s a reason Fox says he wants to move to a franchise that will compete for championships even though they haven’t been to the playoffs in 6 years. My complaint would be directed at Harden

If we are to believe Castle hype they would be fine...
But in all seriousness looking at Sabonis's off and on numbers Kings look like a bottom feeders without him, kind of like Phoenix without KD

What a traveshamockery!

In a way, it's an expected snub considering that the NBA and the coaching coterie rewards their "designated stars" over team players. When you consider the actual production on the floor day in and day out, there is no question Sabonis should be in the list. Oh well, he would have to be content with an All NBA selection instead.

You play basketball to win JJJ has been helping Memphis be a elite team with Morrant missing games and Bane having one of his worst seasons, as good a player as Sabonis is and his stats are I don't think you can leave JJJ off the team, now Sengun is a different matter when imo Eason/Thompson/Brooks/Green all impact the game as much if not more than him. Houston I guess had to have a player as well....really tough year to make it in the West.

what a joke... however, if I were the Rockets and didn't get a single all star I would have been just as pissed. Same with Harden.... he's not having a better year than Domas. The issue is always a weird balancing act of making sure teams with the best records get an all star. So when you have one or two that get a questionable selection someone gets left out... and lets face it, it's easier to leave out someone on the kings.
be fair. It’s easier to leave out someone on the 10th place team than the 2nd place team. When we were the 3rd place team we got 2.

I mean we have to ask if we really have two all NBA players why are we 10th? Why do we have in the last 9 games a 117.8 defensive rating which is 25th in the NBA?

something doesn’t add up.

JJJ deserves imo, he has defensive stats to show and yes, he lifted that team without JA and Bane stinking it up

I kind of get it -- these selections have shifted in the direction of rewarding team success more than individual success in recent years, perhaps as a consequence of the 24/7 non-stop sports news cycle and the need to justify all of that hot air. But then there's already a reward for being part of a winning team: it's called making the playoffs.

Memphis and Houston are killing it from a team standpoint but I don't think you can point to any one guy making that happen for them. Those are ensemble teams. And I don't care that Charlotte is a terrible team -- leaving the guy who got the most fan votes in the entire league out of the All Star game is crazy town. What even is the point of the All Star game if someone like LaMelo Ball doesn't get to be there with the season he's having?

Might as well have a Jordan Poole in the game as well than if LeMelo is getting in, it's a joke to me the guy has missed like 10 + games shooting 33% from 3.plays zero D and makes no one better it's laughable that he's a starting/lock for the game.

I think Sabonis should have got in over Curry and LeBron as well why do the Lakers have to have 2All Stars?
