Amick: De’Aaron Fox requests trade

Maybe it's just me, but pretty much every Twitter/X link you post doesn't show content within the KF thread and when I click on them I always get the message, "Hmm...this page doesn’t exist. Try searching for something else."

If it's not just me, maybe some context about the Tweet (or whatever Elon calls them now) would help.

I see them. Sometimes they are slow to load. Sometimes you need to fix them. Sometimes @Tetsujin posts a broken link and cleans it up or a fellow mod does it.

She didn’t lie because Rich didn’t technically request a trade thanks to the semantics of “you should probably trade Fox now and here’s the team you should probably look at trading him to” as opposed to “trade Fox to the Spurs now”
Do we really think Recee meant “well he ‘technically’ didn’t request a trade?” That’s such a juvenile, semantics game to play. I’d like to imagine grown adults that are parents to multiple children are above that.

As I laid out earlier, I think there is a timeline of events that fits all of intel we have received. And that story would line up with Fox not requesting a trade.

It’s Klutch.

I do feel like there is a world where Vivek saw us play well without Fox during our win streak and has decided we could be a better team with a fox trade (to rebalance the roster) so lets move forward. Heck a lot of us on this forum (including myself) have posted something similar.... so it's not a crazy view. But it's also the sort of short sighted view that gets you in trouble unless you get the right trade (especially if it's a win-now trade without a lot of draft capital).
Some of us almost got suspended for even criticizing the mighty fox. Funny how things change so quickly. I'm sure a apology from our moderator is coming soon. Just gonna hold my breath until it happends....any day now

He won't sign an extension and has all but requested a trade. And his agent told them under no uncertain terms that the best time to trade is now.

There's no plausible deniability here. He built a house in Texas ffs. And apparently was house shopping in San Antonio who have been "preparing their offers for Fox" for several months. Maybe they're building a real estate empire who knows. I think they've been engineering an exit for a while now. I have loved watching him play for us so whenever the seas are calm I let my guard down and fall back in love with him being here long term but this is the classic star wants out of small market but wants to keep the adoring fans story all over it. And if he just STFU and let Paul do his work he'll get the big cheers from those of us that understand as well as those of us who listen to the podbros and hate the team but still go to games.

I hope the kings are playing hard ball and not giving all the leverage to Fox. I understand he wants to go to the spurs. Want in one hand, s*** in the other………..,
but the kings don’t have to take a BS deal just to get Fox where he wants to go. I hope our GM has the fortitude to play hardball. “Listen Klutch, if we can’t get a decent return, your guy isn’t going anywhere. He can play the rest of this year and next year and potentially walk, but we aren’t gonna take a bad deal just cuz.”

This franchise should not be a friggin doormat.

Ham spent most of the losing streak talking about how Fox wasn’t good enough as a 1A and now he’s talking about him as a 1A-level player the Kings couldn’t replace.

Now i see the ham dislike…………

I was listening to him right now thinking the exact same thing you just posted. Make up your mind ham. What is fox in your eyes?

Am I the only one who seems to read the tea leaves with her tweet? It's pretty clear what is going on:

Fox won't extend. That was communicated. So that leaves the team with 2 options: trade to get assets in return (improving the team) vs he walks in FA (team gets nothing). So what she was saying is: If you are the GM and faced with letting him walk or deal him for assets, the timeline which will benefit Fox is one where he can extend with his new team, and RP is basically trying to leverage the team down that path.

This is not a trade request.

It's a trade proposal with Fox and Huerter being swapped straight across for Durant. Salaries apparently match within about $500k.
