didn’t even notice the specific Shams tweet until now. Absolute POS agent move to go demand and trade then have Shams tweet *Kings are opening* the trade market. Shameless
some have speculated that Paul was leaking to DLo and he got word that Shams was going to break the story and so DLo just went rogue to break it first which is why (according to those who listened real time) DLo went through the range of emotions and finger pointing with the apparent realization in the end that he was a pawn in the game.

We still have 5 we have used picks or signed above the min: Monk, Carter, Keon, Huerter, Jones

I get you don’t care about balancing your line-up been when you don’t you often lose your best player.
Huerter will be gone along with Fox either in the Fox deal or to Brooklyn afterwards. We can trade some middling pick we get back in the deal to satisfy their demands. Lyles has to go too to get rid of Klutch so Huerter/Lyles, unprotected pick (presumably a Spurs one) gets it done.

I think we'll see something very similar to the Bagley deal that happened at the same time we did the Domas move.

which Collins? Zach Collins and Sochan both shoot .300 or less from 3. They are not starting front court players.
They will be backups. Collins is salary match. Sochan is your defensive replacement. Castle is your shoot for the stars but also maybe sucks pickup along with whichever draft picks we keep. Some of the picks are just future trade fodder, as they should be if we are trying to compete with the rest of this lineup.

So...if the Thunder want to chase after Butler - and I don't know if they do, but if they do - they'll basically have to give up Hartenstein just for salary. But if we were to nose our way in there...

MIA sends: Jimmy Butler, 2030 FRP, pick swaps
MIA gets: De'Aaron Fox, Isaiah Joe

OKC sends: Isaiah Hartenstein, Isaiah Joe, Nikola Topic, as many FRPs as we can squeeze
OKC gets: Jimmy Butler

SAC sends: De'Aaron Fox
SAC gets: Isaiah Hartenstein, Nikola Topic, MIA 2030, MIA pick swaps, as many picks as we can squeeze from OKC

It actually appears to work for all teams. Not sure if Hartenstein at his contract is a great fit for us next to Domas but maybe that's not awful? If Topic comes back healthy, he's a wild card but could be a better piece than Castle.

I doubt it but we shall see.

I like Smith, Sheppard and the PHX 1st way more than that offer. Isaac would be icing on the cake.

is Jimmy to the Thunder a rumor? Haven’t seen that

Recce being from San Antonio still leaves us some leverage. Spurs know he will extend there if we trade for him now. BUT if we demand a ton of picks and make that known, Spurs will be on the clock to seal the deal this season so that Fox can renegotiate the contract and get a raise now. If Spurs balk at a deal over the volume of picks, that couldn’t possibly sit well with Fox - future pick holding up a $10mm bonus for him when he’s pushing to get there and start winning?? Let’s say we send him in the offseason or next deadline, he’s suddenly left with a bad taste in his mouth, $10mm less money, and the out of Miami offering him the max (and also no income tax)

if he’s truly as money oriented as he says he is

I said this a while back when I admitted that my support for De’Aaron Fox was starting to wane — if he and his ridiculous agent don’t believe he can win in SAC, it’s because HE isn’t good enough!

I’m sick of this attitude and placing blame on the KINGS org as if they haven’t done enough to build around him. They paid De’Aaron and handed him the keys to the proverbial car. And HE hasn’t been able to lift this franchise in the way SGA has in OKC. Take ownership of it, De’Aaron and Rich Paul. You‘re not as good as you think you are!

Now Swipa thinks San Antonio is the where it’s at? Because he needs to ride the coattails of an alleged superstar?

De’Aaron and Rich Paul are lucky I’m not a billionaire owner of this team. I’d sit his @$$ on the bench for the next season and half to waste a crucial portion of his prime, making Paul look like the complete douche that he is, while showing them they don’t really have the power.

I wish these billionaire owners would collude to stop this player/agent nonsense. I mean, the players and agents collude in an effort to power grab — why can’t the owners? There’s really no reason for the players and agents to have this much power over actual billionaires. They wouldn’t if these owners weren’t gutless *******.

Again, if De’Aaron was as good as he and Rich Paul think — the KINGS would be a perennial top 4 seed. But he isn’t and now he’s aligned with the devil and going to tap out. What a loser mentality.

I’m beyond disappointed in De’Aaron turning to the darkside in hiring this disgrace of an agent and buying into his BS. I feel dumb believing he was better than this.

Lastly, too bad Vivek and none his fellow owners have the guts to stand up to the likes of Rich Paul and put them in their place. This didn’t used to be the case. They allowed it to happen.

Could be a crazy idea, but any chance New Orleans would want to do a Fox for Zion swap?I just really don’t like the potential Spurs, Heat, Magic, Lakers packages at all. Houston has the package I would like and it’s been reported they don’t want to make a major move this season. Zion comes with clear flaws but would have the highest upside in any deal we could do.
