We don't have to take an insulting offer because Fox only wants to go to one team.

Yep. And here's the thing, even the "one" team never messes around because they don't want to screw up the chance to get the star. They can't low-ball us because we can just say "Nooooo" for another year. We have this deadline, off-season and next year's deadline before our backs' up against the wall. I'd obviously prefer to not keep the team in limbo for another year and just get this done now, but we do not have to take pennies on the dollar right now. And the clock immediately was one the second Wemby was drafted; you know every "big market" team is chomping at the bit for the Spurs to screw up their Wemby window. How's that going to go when you tell Wemby "Hey man, we had a Fox deal on the table, but we're going to wait another year and a half. Cool?"

I mean when I saw old fat James Harden who came into camp totally out of shape, had no interest ever playing in HOU again still get 4 FRP and 3 pick swaps... just sealed that team's do not care when a star is involved. When one is available, they pay the tag.

And if you're the Spurs, do you REALLY want to risk Fox changing his mind over the next 2 years? Say MIA comes with a strong offer, he gets to play with his buddy Bam again and the Heat can offer an extra year with his bird rights. Especially in Florida, that's a ton of money.

Ya too bad fox isn’t half the player harden was or even fat harden, hell even harden from this year

I hope fans don't send hate towards Fox. He's given a lot to this city, and while I would've loved to see him retire a King, we'll be alright without him

I agree, but I gotta say Fox has not exactly endeared himself to Kings fans as of late, particularly if he has been maneuvering to get out and not being forthright

Texas is a tax haven too. With all the hurricane stuff I'd probably rather live in Texas even disregarding his family having ties there but I can't be objective about this since both states seem like absolute hell holes to me.

The only way I can think the Kings present that to Klutch is because they would actually have taken the trade if Klutch agreed. Now I’m super curious as to what team that was….clearly not SA, probably not Miami or Houston? BUT it must have been a pretty damn good deal — unless Monte/Wes are really that dumb to take a so so offer they wouldn’t have accepted to Klutch which then led to all this mess.

35% of the salary cap if he makes all NBA and stays on the designated veteran (super max).

30% if no.

5 years with the team holding his contract. 4 years if signed on a free.
