Physical Style of Play

I think this team needs to develop that swag. The Malik swag. Confidence. Playing angry and hungry. They need that 1980s we hate you mentality. That’s what people want to watch. Especially since we have some of the best mid-range shooters. I get analytics but three after three after three is boring basketball.

I think that attitude would be an improvement over a trade. Unless you can get another dawg.

I think we got a swag bump with Christie, not a player swag but it seems the team is taking the mentality of the coach, which is a good thing. I do agree we need an enforcer on the players side, like a Bobby Portis type

Having some midrange scoring in our offense also make us tougher to game plan for. Every team in the league tries to play like the Warriors team from the previous decade, there is a lot of redundancy through the league featuring this play style. Being different is an advantage in 2025.

I don't think we'll ever see the level of physicality that we saw "back in the day." I also don't think this team is built to be a group of bruisers.

That said, this team can play with aggressiveness. We've seen them completely shut down the opposition, and, at times, play angry. Ever since DC took over, I haven't seen them completely roll over vs. an opponent. That to me has more value than simply being "a room full of dawgs", as the current vernacular goes.

Everyone labels Domas as a defender as not a very good one. If he could just play D according to his strength and quickness - paint on D on the Kings side would clear of any opposing jerseys. Nope, Domas has to play D like he is a bull in a China shop.
Right now in NBA defenders better play D with their hands tight behind their back. Anything else is a foul.
Current NBA is an illegit child of WWE and streetball. How come whistle in Euroleague is at least reasonable and replays, rewatches are available while in NBA we better bet what will be called a foul and when. Why a foul is called and what a foul is in NBA - mystery. Reff stand couple feet away and sees how a player gets smacked HARD, yet - no foul.
We need robots with AI to call games, not humans. Then we can talk about evolution of the game. Even with the current ridiculous trend some defense play is possible.
