I've been watching a lot of clips on YouTube lately where retired players ask each other, "Who used to give you that work?" And it's never, like, a superstar, it would always be somebody that fans think of as just, like, a dude.

I foresee that, fifteen or so years from now, they'll be asking Sabonis who used to give him that work, and he'll be like, "Jonas, man, ****..."

Jonas is way too good to be on the Wizards lol
Taking a look at his contract, he's signed for 2 more years at just 10mil/season.

Honestly, that's one of the best value contracts in the NBA. Not sure how we find a way to get him, but I think just in terms of being preemptive in keeping Domas's minutes down and keeping him healthy, that seems BEYOND worth it to me.

With the way both guys have shown an ability to shoot from the perimeter now, you could probably get away with some two big lineups in certain situations (We’d no longer have to guard Julius Randle with DeMar in Wolves games).

good first half, nice game around. Domas is making wizzardry on the floor, very impressive. If team (outside Domas and Malik) will start making 3s, it will be easy win.

We could make use of a guy that would shrink Sabonis minutes to 30 a game
I dunno if you'd need that much, but Domas is at 36 MPG this year, highest of his career. Not only could we hopefully start winning those minutes more often with Domas off the floor, but keeping Domas healthy and more fresh come playoff time is very appealing to me. We've honestly been so incredibly lucky he hasn't had a serious injury with his workload the last 3 years.

He must’ve really wanted to live there or something. I find it hard to believe he couldn’t get his salary and years on a better team that would use him better.
Lots of teams didn’t use their MLE/couldn’t because they were against the aprons and others saved their MLE because you can use it as a trade exception now. Also teams tend to undervalue bigs until the season starts and it turns out they actually need them (which is how Jonas wound up being let go by the Pels in the first place).

I’m really enjoying this so far! It’s so refreshing to see Fox not having to carry the offense entirely and instead showcasing his versatile skill set. Last game, it was all about steals and defense; this game, he’s already racked up 8 assists, along with a steal, a block, a rebound, and just one turnover.

The less minutes for the starters the better
