[KINGS] Comments that don't warrant their own thread (Redux)

Great story father and son, Arvydas and Domantas Sabonis NBA stars past and present.

Yeah, pretty much certifies Browns love for DHO and probably why it took so long for him to switch up to more pick and roll. The Kings obviously still run it a lot as the stats point out but man, those possessions had to be pried out of his cold hands haha. The pick and roll is and always will be the way to go between the two as a first option play since it is all based around the keeping a live dribble. However it is interesting the way DDR uses the DHO as an iso starter.

BTW, this article shows you how important Doug Christie is. Dude's a big part of the good in Sac.

OK, riddle me this: We're 9th overall in FG% allowed (.459), and we're also 9th overall in 2PT% allowed (.528), but we're **29th** overall in 3PT% allowed (.377)! Teams just take so few 2PTers against us (27th in the league) and so many threes (4th) that the fact that 3PT percentages are lower in general evens things out on FG%.

To show how meaningless FG% allowed is, we are 19th in eFG% allowed (.545). (BBRef does not have opponent TS% but presumably it is similar.) It would appear that it's the fact that we're pretty good at forcing turnovers (11th) and defensive rebounding% (5th) that brings our DRTG up to 13th.

Wow. Look at the Defensive Rating and Net Rating with Keon Ellis on the floor.
Yeah, you can clearly see some cementing although there's no way those offensive rating numbers hold up with Keon but who knows. The defensive ones? Eh, maybe. Obviously the defense is a lot better with Huerter and Keon so far but the offense suffered largely because the shooting was so bad early on in that Huerter lineup. The Kings are number 1 with Keon and around 24-25th with Monk on defense. Definitely a huge swing. Probably not as dramatic with even minutes and more evidence but likely the real result.

a bit strange, Colby seemed to have earned a bit of Browns trust and Kev is listed day to day with the shoulder sprain. What’s going on?

Stockton does have a game today so maybe they just him to get more run

Yep, it's a home game today. Our front office has made this move plenty of times in the past, no real surprise here.

Do the Sacramento Kings ever play again?

(yes I know, tomorrow, but still... remind me why we had such a nonsensical travel and 3 in 4 type stretch schedule?)

I've seen other teams playing that got knocked out though?
Every team has to play two games over the course of the Cup, they count toward regular season standings. If you don't make it to the Cup, two games get scheduled. If you make it to the cup and get busted out in the first game, you get one extra game scheduled. If you make it to the Cup Semis, that's your two. If you make it to the Finals, that game doesn't count for regular season standings, it's a bonus.

So every team has a long break it is just noticeable because I care about one team only?

mostly unrelated but found out my parents still had one of those collectible Kings Diet Pepsi cans from like 2001 in their garage fridge when I was back home a couple of months ago. Between the Vlade bio on the back and the whole being 20+ years over the expiration date, it must taste great at this point.
