Two whole years and you've had enough, huh? I guess that's fair, you know, with all the winning they were doing before. They're not living up to the high standards that have been set by this franchise.
2 years? Baloney. I have been critical of Monte not committing on a direction since he first commented on it in his interview. I think it’s a losing strategy and nothing I have seen since has changed my mind.

Well that's certainly not true with like 57 more games to go in the season. The 6 seed is still only 3 games out. Right now, we're at the end of the pack, but we're still "there". Especially with so much time left in the season.

I'll start putting completely arbitrary "Kings need to go X-Y" records when we actually have an idea of who and what we're chasing. Of course we have to start playing better since we've totally choked our last 3 weeks. I don't think we're quite at the "win 80% of our games in a random 5 game span"
They play the Lakers twice in that span. Lose both of those and you have lost the tiebreaker also. With both and then you have a shot at the tiebreaker. They could well be battling the Lakers for the 6th spot or 8th spot.

They play the Jazz which has to be a win. That means splitting New Orleans and Denver. New Orleans is injured and at the bottom of the standing.

You want to be top 6 you need to win 4 out of the next 5.

I hope Mike stops jerking Keon around. I'm over this roller coaster. The team plays better when he is in the rotation. Make him your 6th man if you must, but bring him in and sick him on the other teams best wing.
The part that bothers me, is that the best fit starting lineup still includes Keon. They panicked and jumped to the conclusion somehow, that part of the issue was Keon starting and Monk as the 6th man. No, the problem was and still is, not shooting well enough and defending the 3 pt line.

They definitely needed to make a change, but it should have been a change to their defensive scheme and not sagging and helping off 3 pt shooters. Should have happened many games ago

Yes, Keon would have given the Kings the most balanced starting unit, but I think Brown never fully trusted his offense for some reason.

But at this point of the season, the Kings best chance to make a deep run for the playoffs may be to go full blown offensive juggernaut team. Try to recapture some of that offensive magic from the 22-23 season. The Kings are just not good enough defensively (with or without starting Keon) to make a serious deep run in the playoffs, trying to reinvigorate the offense may be their best chance.

I like Keon as much as the next guy but he’s not the key to this team. The team knocking down 3’s is the key…..even if they are not doing a good job in games defensively in guarding the 3, when they shoot like they did last night from 3, they will win most as its most likely around a 140 point night

Seems like every single game Sabonis comes out of it cut, scrapped, bleeding, bruised, or worse. Tough as nails, rarely misses any games during long season due to injury. But why does not wear some protection, any protection, don't understand. Could wear protective sleaves and t-shirt to keep from receiving nicks and cuts arms and upper body. Does he even have protective mouth guard Kayte wondered as Sabonis getting knocked in head last night commenting might need a helmet!o_O
After getting hit in the face so much it would seem that he's tempting fate, no? What concerns me the most is his eyes. One can recover from a knocked out tooth, but an eye injury can be irreversible. I'd like to see him wear goggles. The other risk is a broken jaw, but a face mask might be a bridge too far.

They won't go anywhere if their volume shooters can't hit a good %.....as well as figuring out some way to minimize open 3's by the opponent. Regardless of who starts

As long as they balance the moments they sub one in for the other, I’m fine with it. Some games will call for different things but i just hope Coach Brown doesn’t worry as much about set rotations and adjusts based on what’s actually happening in game.

Monk being in that starting lineup is quite nice IMO, because he gets Sabonis going early, reminding him that we need him to look for his shot as well.

Googles might be a good call. Then, when they are knocked off dozens of times a game, that could also serve as a cue for the refs of all the contact they’re missing
