one of the best things about this is I think it may have convinced DE’AARON himself that he doesn’t need to jack up the three. This two game span goes up there as one of the most amazing feats I’ve seen in sac history. Debatable whether it tops the time in the 90’s when we had back to back wins of 58 and 56 points.
I'd imagine also watching DeMar dominate the mid-range area in person and in practice hopefully ended up in a lightbulb moment where he doesn't need to be Steph Curry, Trae Young, Dame

Fox discovering the perfect balance of shooting those in rhythm threes and consistently attacking and “touching the paint” is about to be every opposing teams worst nightmare.

Glad to see Fox in the #2 spot on this list, but Dyson Daniels having 31 more deflections than anyone else on this list is really telling in terms of his defensive impact.
Yeah, I recall a few here praising NOP for that trade this summer. Was always a staggering overpay about who Murray used to be and not who he is. Daniels actually IS that level of defender that Murray has a rep for.

Daniels is also a much better fit next to Trae as a big, defensive guard with a low usage rate. He'll need to get his 3P% up from 27.5% or he'll likely use minutes to Bogdan when he returns, but if he could ever consistently space the floor he'd be a near perfect backcourt match.

Murray being a ball dominant guard never seemed like a smart trade for Atlanta in the first place, and I agree that I think the Hawks won that trade. And that's not even taking into account that Murray has been out with a broken hand since the season opener.

I've been pretty critical about the Hawks' front office in the past, but Landry Fields has really put together an intriguing roster with Dyson Daniels, Zacharie Risacher, Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu all being potential long term starters with good two way skill sets that are all still under 23 years old.

I always wondered what happened to Landry Fields. I was watching the Toronto Raptors' playoff game when he went leaping into the stands after a loose ball and hurt his back. He never was the same again. But he was one of those guys you always want to have on your team.

It also shows you how the deflections stat isn't full proof. Some HORRIBLE defenders on that list. Deflections plus good defense is a game changer though.
Which guys are you referring to? The only guys who aren’t considered plus defenders are Luka (defends well when he wants which isn’t often) Kev, and then maybe Laravia and Scoot (haven’t followed them closely enough to know)

Mainly Jokic and Luka. Jokic as almost literally cost his team playoffs series over the years with his lack of pnr defense. Some players get deflections because they are great defenders, I personally do not think deflections make you a great defender however.

I'd have to agree with you on this, deflections can mean a player has quick hands or can react to a pass that he's seen a hundred times in his playing career. Stats like this have their place but nothing can beat the two eyes you have to determine who are the truly good defenders.
