the Grizz organization just has a way of getting the most out of the players they find either late in the second round or undrafted. Happens almost every year, they squeeze all the juice out of the lemons they have

Laravia was a first round pick. They have hit on some and swung and missed some as well. Just traded Williams for nothing and he has been pretty good so far for the Nets.

This is not fun basketball. I think they should change the foul rule that requires arms being straight up, that’s not a natural position. Allow defenders to have their arms angled out as long as they don’t come smashing down on the offensive player. No more barreling in for contact. SGA has now taken the crown as the biggest foul merchant in the game.

Only reason I can think is because the league is more like the NBE than the NBA these days. They want the refs to have the ability to dictate the outcome of the games. They want a way to artificially build stars. To make it seem like the players of today are head and shoulders better than the players of yesterday.

You and I both know that no fan out there loves watching free throws, loves hearing the whistle blown all game and loves the fact that teams can't even make it up and down the court a couple times without there being a stoppage in play. The way games are officiated do absolutely nothing for the fans, yet the NBA continues to do it regardless.

Fouls should happen when the offensive player beats the defensive player enough to where the defensive player is forced to defend beyond what the rules allow in order to keep the offensive player from scoring. Players should draw fouls by beating the defender to a spot and forcing the defender to choose between letting them score or sending them to the line. An offensive player should never be allowed to draw a foul by intentionally running into a defender. It's just not entertaining and it's not basketball. It's pandering to the whistles. That's not fun. We go to the games to see competition, not acting and manipulation.

I thought the last third of the season was much better and was hoping that would continue but so far it doesn’t seem like it has. The thing about SGA is he absolutely doesn’t need to do it, would be a star anyway.

The almighty Erik Spoelstra just cost his team a game tonight by getting a technical foul with 1.1 remaining.

The Heat led 121-119 with 1.8 remaining when they got backdoored for a lob dunk by Jalen Duren taking only 0.7 off the clock.

Spoelstra was so pissed he rushed the court to call a timeout he didn’t have!

I wonder if he’ll get much heat from the basketball press over it. I doubt it.

If Mike Brown did that, this place would lose its collective mind!

They've also fallen from 1st to 10th in defensive rating (probably even lower after tonight's loss). Is Julius Randle that awful on defense or is Karl-Anthony Towns more of a defensive presence than he's gotten credit for?

could be a combination of both. I'm curious, where did the Knicks rank in defense last year? Randle played in only 46 games for the Knicks last season. We can then compare the numbers as the season progresses to see where the Knicks of this year end up.
