Nobody is going to lose a game when they shoot 47% from deep and make 29 threes. They hardly bothered getting themselves to the free throw line though nor did they get much of anything from their bench. As dominant a performance as that was, I don't think shooting a bazillion threes is a guaranteed path to continued success.
They're sort of in the same boat we are as a team that relies heavily on their shooting. The difference though is they have two #1 options (which we
may have this season if DeRozan continues to be a 24ppg guy) and they have better defenders. We're still looking for our Al Horford / Kristaps Porzingis defensive anchor but our status would be elevated immensely if Keegan Murray makes the same All-NBA leap in his third season that Jayson Tatum did for Boston 5 years ago.
