Suns, Wolves, Mavs and now Celtics changing hands over a pretty short span.
It's definitely a lot of franchise turnover in a short span, but also surprising for the Celtics. Grousbeck has been a pretty fantastic owner for the last couple of decades, largely staying out of the way and letting his basketball people do their job while not skimping on salary nor rejecting risk in the roster-building process. And they just won a championship! I suppose the valuation is at an all-time high, but you'd figure he'd wanna stick around to see if this version of the team can defend its title. Whoever buys the team is going to inherit a defending champ right off the bat!

I watched a Draymond interview today that I’m not sure is old or new, in it he reveals that he was leaving Golden State for Memphis last off season. Imagine a Ja/Dray pairing (especially last year)

Bruno officially only one year away from being two years away now.

Bruno's sagas in Europe are amazing this past season.

He had a contract at Venezia and left the team to join that team from Israel that plays in NBA preseason just for NBA teams to watch him and offer him a contract. Venezia "froze" his contract and finally sold him to Partizan that plays in Euroleague. Things were going smoothly there for several months (Kings legend PJ Dozier and Kaminski were his teammates btw) but the team not doing so well despite the much money they spent on transfers. In early June, with Partizan playing in the Serbian league finals (or Adriatic league, or both anyway it doesn't matter) he left the team again to go to the states and attend a court that would decide if the custody of his children. He never came back and was called to the Brazil NT for the Olympics qualifiers. Despite having a two year contract with the Serbian side he claims that they owe him salaries (that Partizan claims to be fines for leaving the team all of the sudden) so he should be released to join Maccabi Tel Aviv. So if you thought Sasha's case was a rollercoaster, it was nothing after all.

New Ant Baby Mama just dropped. Love the dude but if he’s not careful the only Wilt record he’ll ever have a chance at catching is the off-the-court one.

If I was one of these dudes my first paycheck would be spent at the sperm bank and the vasectomy doctor.

Chris Duarte played a decent game yesterday against Greece ... First 2 quarters he was close to perfect from the 3pt line ...
I thought i am watching another player , not the one from our games last year ....
He's a weird one though because he had a hot start to his rookie season and then flamed out to where he was pretty much gifted to us. He even had a handful of good games with us, so he'd really have to have a long run to show me anything wasn't just a fluke.

I think he kind of just is who he is. A good like 10th-11th man that can give you decent spot minutes from time to time. Not someone you want to rely on, but I think a good way to round out your bench.

He legit won us a few games last year. He was just never consistent.

And that's fine but qualifies him as another punching bag for many Kings fans.

A lot of teams around us had no choice but to make major roster moves this offseason, we need some upgrades but I still think we are more victim of being a good team in a abnormal season and untimely injuries to the same position.

Don’t know …
From what I saw yesterday he was looking even as a backup starter for Monk for example …. For sure excellent second unit piece ….
Nothing like the total crap he was last season … I got intrigued by him honestly ….

Gonna put this here instead of one of the Kings rap threads on Sasha because thankfully he is NOT our problem anymore. Keith writes this well written and emotion free article and is pretty much being dragged by Olympiakos twitter for it by weirdos acting like he is Toronto's GM or Adam Silver and can just wave a wand to free their hero.

I really liked him and up until we shipped him I hoped we could figure out a way to make him work or at least get value back in a trade for him.

The way the Greek fans are on twitterX it really makes you wonder how much is real and how much is just random bullies over there making fake news. Still its frustrating and glad the fans that followed him to the Kings weren't as bad as some of the other single player fans we've had over the years.

Last week people couldn’t stop talking about how the Spurs fleeced themselves by trading Dillingham for a pick in 7 years. Now they’re suddenly on the same level as Presti???
I know Quinn. He's a smart guy, but he's one of the "worships at the alter of analytics" type dudes. We grew up playing mock offseason games on forums lol, so he's one of those guys who loves to play GM, but now gets paid for his takes.

Pretty bizarre. Not everyone is a Dillingham believer, which is fair, but I don't think trading an 8th overall pick for a future pick and one year of swap rights makes you some kind of genius. They could easily end up losing value in this deal if the swap rights don't amount to much and that future pick is lower than 8.

Someone here knows if Giannis is with restriction minutes for the Olympic qualifications ?
I see Greece coach isn’t using him more then 5 minutes per quarter which I find strange
Even now in the final against not bad Croatia

Wait, the Spurs robbed us blind because we needed a salary landing spot for the Bulls-side return in a sign-and-trade that otherwise had nothing to do with them? Because they ate salary that we upgraded in exchange for a future pick swap? Do people realize that the DeRozan upgrade cost us about $8.8M over the next two years, and that dumping the mostly-unused Duarte contract simultaneously moves that to a net $3M? We spent $3M in salary/cap hit, cash (we don't know how much, but the maximum is something like $7M), and a future pick swap for the upgrade to the next two years of DDR, and we got robbed blind?

It's true that year three is the question mark. It has been alluded to that the third year has at least some unguaranteed money, but I don't think we know how much yet. That's where there may be some risk coming in.

And from the Spurs' point of view, they've got Barnes and they've got a pick swap, but they've also now got $40.7M worth of salary/cap hit over the next two years. That's not exactly banditry, even if they use Barnes to his full potential (which, as a developing team they probably don't...)

I will take it personally for the Sasha’s fans not being that bad , cause I would like to stay without him as well :) it looks like will be entertaining season to be King’s fan and I will wait for it !
as for for Vezenkov he is really very good player and it was too unfortunate how the cards were played for him …
I will do my best to understand to whole story some day and will as well gladly share it with you guys some day
