He finally gets to coach Marvin Bagley though.

Didn't he express interest in our job but Vlade passed him over for someone else. Forgot who.

Theres a chance he could coach his son Elijah if he stays all those years!

Pistons have sooooo many young peices already plus the 5th and 31st pick in the draft, will be interesting to see how they can come together around a healthy Cade.

Will they take another player with PG skills at 5? Like Anthony Black? or is that too many chefs ruining the stew situation with too many ball-handlers? Will they take a 3pt shooter like Taylor Hendricks?

They should be able to make marked improvement over the next few seasons. He goes from Ayton to Bagley, Duren Stewart and Wiseman, stays coaching former top ranked bigs.

Even Tobias Harris is impressed with Monty's game.
After getting fired by the Suns, Monty reportedly wanted to take some time off to help his wife fight cancer before the Pistons made him such a stupidly huge offer that he rightfully couldn’t refuse. Now he can take all the time he needs while still getting the Pistons‘ money for the next five years.

They need a coach that can utilize both Cade and Ivey at the same time. Ivey had a stretch of looking like a star when Cade was out. Find a coach that can use two lead playmakers.

That’s a tough job considering neither one shoots well from 3 consistently plus Cade being average defensively and Ivey poor so far. If they sign Monk that complicates things too.
