Let's not get too cocky before the playoffs (not that I won't totally abuse my bragging rights tomorrow). This is the way we need to beat the Lakers too -- just dominate them so thoroughly that no amount of favoritism is enough to pull them back from the grave.

We have one more chance to Beat LA left in the regular season and it's a game that could have huge implications for playoff seeding. After what we just saw against Milwaukee and LA's #2 NBA team, there's no excuse for the Kings failing to show up on the defensive end anymore. We know they have this in them -- they just need to own it and play every game from here out like it's a must win.

We’re done with the Lakers for the regular season. 4-0 baby!!!

Facing a very very very very physical team next, that kept their last opponent twice at 79 points in the last 2 matches (losing one of them). We haven't played the Knicks this season and it will be interesting to see that matchup.

Keon and Davion have really started to bring this core together. All of a sudden... we look like a complete team? Funny what getting 50+ minutes of quality defense on the floor can do for a squad.

Watching Rui on the other side, man, would he be solid. Someone like him, Grant Williams would be so so good to add to this.

I do think Huerter is the odd man out in the starting 5, more so than Barnes ever was. He's mainly there for offense while being the clear 5th option in the starting 5 and the weakest defender of the group.

Just need a little more sample size from Keon in his shooting, but if he's 37%+ from 3 for a while there's really no reason not to promote him.

Don't wanna be too premature, but it's something to keep watch on.

The Knicks also lost 4 straight going into the All-Star break and they're only 5-5 since. They're a physical team but they foul a lot and like us their depth is at the guard positions (Julius Randle is still injured and likely won't play) so I think we match up well with them.

Indeed but had (and still having) injury issues, Brunson missed 2 matches (once leaving the floor in the 1st minute and the next one), but OG has returned for them and let's not forget that they may foul a lot but Kings a. don't get a lot of calls for drawing fouls and in case they do it's not that we make all free throws. Also a high volume 3pointers team lately, 2 former Kings (DDV and Burks), it can be the perfect "trap" game if Kings don't take things seriously. They also tend to get many offensive rebounds despite missing Mitch Rob that had the most in the league before his injury.

Pretty much any game could be a trap game for our Kings, unfortunately, so I won't disagree with you there. That's why I'm not going too far overboard celebrating a 2 game winning streak, however dominant we've looked in accomplishing those 2 wins. But in general, I do like our chances against guard-oriented teams if Mike Brown continues to play Fox, Ellis, and Mitchell in overlapping minutes.

Yeah but we still need to beat the Clippers one more time -- they're LA too. And currently they (the Clippers) are standing between us and a second straight division title.
Our KINGS really, really need to beat LAC on April 2nd to even that series AND beat NOR on April 11th to get that monkey off their back heading into the postseason.

And, of course, there are many other games they need to win along the way, too, beginning with the Knicks on Saturday night!

Keep em coming Tetsu!

If anyone has any “views from the other side” I’d love to see them. Laker fan tears are the tastiest!
Soooo....You might be surprised to hear this....

I ventured over to the Lakers Facebook page last night after the game...A lot of salty Lakers fans for sure.

But, somewhat surprisingly, no real saltiness towards the Kings, but rather towards the Lakers, their coach, and a few of their "aging" players. I actually read a handful of comments from Lakers fans who acknowledged that we're clearly the better team, and some even went as far as to say that the Lakers wouldn't beat us in a play-in game in our house.
