If Fox and Monk were auditioning to be called up from the G-league to the big club in this game, they probably would not get an invite. There is very little chance of the Kings winning against any team when neither Fox nor Monk is effective. And it wasn't just poor shooting. Fox only touched the paint three times in the 4th quarter, and one of those times his big toe might have been inside the free throw line. That can't happen when he can't hit the broad side of a barn from the outside.

The paint was packed…..Miami sagged almost everyone. How does he get in there and be effective?

Rather than walk the ball up the floor it would have been advantageous to use his best asset - speed - to get to the paint. He didn't have to get all the way to the basket or get points inside - just get into the paint and kick it. I thought they played very slow in this game, which was just what Miami wanted.
