Too close for comfort, but we still have the lead. Also there is now a non-zero chance that if we have the lead deep in the third Green will do something stupid and one of our starters will pay.
I vote move him to the 2 and get a defensive stud at the 4. All of a sudden we are a team with good size. Sixers have been running a 3 wing lineup with Maxey and Embiid with good success.
Yeah, the only times he's gotten caught is on pick and roll when the help doesn't come up. One on one the Kings CAN play defense. The scheme is just, yuck level though.
I want this win, obviously, but the most important aspect of this game is Foxy back to being himself. Engaged/probing the paint, playing fast. 16 points on 8 shots, 5 ast, 1 TO. That's the All-NBA line we know and love.
Overall good half though. Good balance. Domas was very good. 2 complete dog crap calls on him. Middy Fox is back. Thats nice to see. Huerter is playing very well. Especially attacking the boards and HB is playing more like he did last season.
They made all their free throws.
Bench was solid despite a notable exception
The negative are the usual poor three point defense.
And where the hell is Malik Monk?
If not for a bonehead foul on Klay shooting a three I wouldn’t even know he was in the game.
Still can’t seem to find his way since selling the Bucks game.

I think especially on the wing level the Kings just don’t really have many high BBIQ defenders. As much as we can clown Brown for randomly playing JTA and Duarte, the dudes are like the only non-Keegan wings/forwards on the team who are willing to at least try to play aggressive help defense.

and the offense is fun to watch. If this is how we play the rest of the year we are going to win a bunch of games regardless of the outcome of this road trip
Move this man to the bench as a first option!! His steady offense would mesh well with the chaos that is Malik Monk. And the starting 5 won't miss his complete lack of effort on the boards and defense.
