Is this the worst we’ve looked?
Yup. This season and last season, if you ask me. I truly think this game ends up looking a BIT different starting at 7PM vs 3, but there’s no excuse for this garbage and I’m glad the fans are booing. The good news is that it’s just one game and we still have a shot to make this look somewhat respectable, whilst being 7 games over .500 when it ends. Gotta move on

I’ve never seen Mike Brown take this long to call a timeout. Not sure what’s up with the Phil Jackson shtick all of a sudden but that’s not what this team needed today
Game like this, I don't see that it would have made a difference, unless he was going to call a timeout to pull everybody. There are no adjustments to be made at this point.

When are we gonna throw shade at brown for these types of games?
Well he needs to answer why we’ve been blown out 3x now by the same team this year. The only other game they didn’t blow us out we were down 14 to start the 4th and made a little run. This is not a coincidence, this is not being able to come up with a successful game plan against the Pels

The problem is that New Orleans completely owns them. A team in their conference who is probably not a real contender at this point

You would probably have to go back to the pre merger days to potentially find a 5 game season sweep which will probably happen in this head to head matchup this season

I am more concerned about the health of Fox than a trade atm
With the names Monte has been looking at the good news is it would make it less necessary for Fox to have to continually wreck himself when there's no other choice for a basket. Fox has been pretty sturdy lately but being a guard in a big league means the 180 pound guy is crashing into players 60 pounds heavier down there in the paint. His 3 ball has been a big saving grace lately though.

Been busy today. Just walked into to catch the end of the game. Without me having to read all 8 pages of this thread, can anyone provide a quick synopsis of what the hell is going on? Why does Fox only have 3 points.

It’s about matchups. This is in no way a complete indictment on them as a team. Minnesota “owned” the Kings last season and we went in their house a few backs back and mopped the floor with them, just as we did to the Grizzlies the other day in Memphis. If we don’t own those teams because of those two examples, then I’m not gonna freak out about today either. There are holes on this roster but this ain’t a play-in team, it’s a playoff team that matches up poorly against certain teams just as many other teams have squads they don’t necessarily wanna see come playoff time.

When your defense = "just score more 3's", there's no playoff series wins coming, folks.
Not against this team. There are other teams the Kings matchup better with and could probably beat in a series. OKC and Dallas for example. Not sure I would favor them against any of the other legit playoff teams in the conference at this time. Maybe the Lakers too but there are other factors to consider there.

Yeah, but who is a contender though? The Kings are right in that grouping where a 3 game skid can slide you back to play in status. I think the deadline is going to be as important as last year. Deadline trades last season basically determined who moved on.
