NFL 2023-2024 Thread

I see Dak decided to remove himself from MVP race today.

in all seriousness, could it be 1. Purdy 2. CMC or reversed? Has that ever happened? 2 players from the same team finishing 1,2?

Lmao that announcer was so wrong.
So was the ex referee or whoever they brought in to give his opinion. His right forearm was obviously down, yet they were only looking at his left. They had me questioning my sanity for a minute there because I thought it was a no brainer as long as he was touched on the way down.

I was looking at the elbow, not the forearm itself, and wasn't sure either way. I didn't know if the forearm was enough to call a player down.

It's perfectly reasonable for someone who isn't a paid football announcer to not be sure of the rule regarding whether a forearm is down. For a paid football announcer to demonstrate that he simply doesn't know what a forearm is is a bit more embarrassing. [Picture of forearm squarely on ground frozen on screen] "See, if his forearm was on the ground he'd be down, but it's not" [rest of crew just shuts up and lets him go off]
