Any idea why none of the twitter links work for me?
Twitter links have a tendency to load kind of slowly - it seems to me to actually be related to the computer that I am using, some computers seem to load them faster than others. So if your computer is older, it might just be loading them very slowly.

In some cases, the links are broken. This is more common since Twitter changed officially to "X", because "x.com" links are not recognized by the forum software. This can be fixed by the poster (or a mod) by changing any links from "x.com" to "twitter.com" and leaving the remainder of the link intact. However, that is not the problem for the link you quote above - that link is loading fine for me.

It's been a scam for decades. It's a stain on the league. It doesn't need to be this way. It's not like this in other sports.
I feel like it is like this is other sports. Every week we hear about all the NFL officiating, soccer officials have been getting blasted around the world for years, MLB umpires are scrutinized more and more each year now with fans calling for robot umps. I actually think officiating in general is better than it was years ago but the technology and a million HD camera views is now showing how many mistakes are made. That and I think our society has more of a distain for anybody in a position of power now. Not really sure what will fix it. Referees/umpires are always a favorite target of fans, players, coaches, etc.

Mistakes are one thing, which we do see in NFL and MLB (though the challenge and replay system is better in those sports).

What is completely unacceptable and unique to the NBA is the blatant bias towards certain teams and certain players. You may argue there is a slight bias in the NFL or MLB towards a player or two... but it is not anywhere near the same scale as the NBA.

The NBA has obvious bias for large market teams, and high earning players, because the NBA, in a unique way, brands their sport with certain players and teams. It is a star and large market dependent league. Again, please don't argue that this is non-existent in other sports, I'm talking about the breadth and scale. Of course there are stars in football and baseball that make the league money. But the type of financial protection and promotion stars and large market teams in the NBA receive through favorable officiating is almost completely absent in other sports.

I'm not saying anything controversial. Everyone in the NBA knows and accepts this. Every single player knows this. You just have to try to win despite this. These are the unwritten rules of the modern NBA.

If officiating was just hard the outcomes should be similar for all teams, and all players, involved.

If players are getting thrown out, instead of the favorable calls they are lobbying for, maybe they should change their tactics.

Maybe NBA need to try and to invite (for a test maybe for one week of games) some officials from Europe? Maybe less bias for some teams or players

Considering the frequency with which Fox goes to the basket he should be shooting significantly more free throws. That it's so easy for SGA to get the whistle and so difficult for Dearron to get it makes zero sense when they are both playing in the same game with the same refs. This is all me but I believe the league sends a memo to its refs that sets an agenda. There is no explanation that is reasonable and rooted in fairness that justifies the discrepancy.
