Whew. Down 22. I'm saying there's a chance.
Seriously. There's way too much basketball left to check out now. These teams are both capable of insane offensive feats and I don't think the Kings are going to fold mentally in the second half. Never forget the 350 point thriller the last time these two teams faced off in this building.

Try Edwards = Vezenkov then Murray plus Lyles ... Game is lost , if not a miracle happen of cours ...Edwards will defend Vezenkov will shoot , eventualy haha

Extremely disappointing half of "basketball." Started by four consecutive dumbass plays by McGee and Monk, and it just rolled downhill after that. This team seems incapable of having the mental fortitude to play back to back games. Doesn't seem to bother the Clippers any, but my oh my it bothers the Kings.
I started to have a bad feeling when we went down 0-6.

Unfortunately I think this is more about the Clippers' big wings knowing how to draw contact than the Kings forgetting how to play defense. Our guards are getting picked to death up top and everyone else rotating over to stop the ball is grabbing and getting called for it.
At full strength the Clippers are like a Super Saiyan version of the Pelicans, inasmuch as they are strongest where the Kings are the weakest. Especially when Leonard plays: the Clippers are 7-3 in their last ten games versus the Kings when Leonard was available, and all three losses were one-possession games. Basically, if Leonard plays, the Kings have pretty much play perfectly to beat this team.

The Kings are not playing perfectly.

I honestly hope Coach Brown seriously tells the players anyone not interested in playing defense can just stay in the locker room. A comeback of this size certainly has been done more than once but the only way can be done is that the defensive end. No amount of improved shooting is going to get the team out of this mess.

If we make the playoffs I hope we don't see the Pelicans or Clippers. They are just a bad match up for the Kings lol
Meh, we’ve proven to play very well against the clips just a few months ago. We just suck on 2nd night of back to backs. Thank God we won’t have to worry about that in the playoffs.

Yeah, back to backs is a thing for sure. Have to see what Fox can muster still. Credit to the Clippers though, since that last game their half court offense is miles ahead of where it was.

The Kings need to take that middle paint away from him for sure. He was getting to the free throw line whenever he wanted.
The problem is that the Clipper realized that we're putting Keegan on PG13 and have completely taken him out of most of the defense by just sorta having PG stand in the corner, where Keegan has to stick with him on account of him being one of the best shooters in the league.

HB has actually done an okay job on Kawhi but those Trey minutes where he just kept letting Kawhi do whatever he wanted has ignited the guy.

Brown has to take a good portion of the blame for these constant blowout losses. Why is he OK with the team shooting so many threes on a back to back when they come out and are on the second night of a back to back (clearly tired legs)? Why is he giving McGee that many minutes?
I would not blame McGee. He was 3-3.

Here's what we need to happen in the second half:

Two of the Barnes/Huerter/Monk trio needed to actually contribute on offense or one of them needs to catch fire and put up 20+.

Fox needs to stop yapping about the calls and get his head in the game. Other than drilling three triples he's been part of the problem on both ends. Mix in the mid-range pull up and some drive and kicks, stop falling for Harden's ref baiting antics.

Keegan needs to focus on locking up Paul George. Kawhi is in can't miss mode again and we probably should just let him get his points as long as they're mostly long twos.

Right now the Clippers are shooting 50% from deep. We're overhelping and leaving shooters wide open. Our defense functions best when we anticipate and get over screens instead of trying to rotate everything.

It can be done! Go Kings!

Exhibit A that the Kings are not any type of playoff threat. I think we were a better team last year despite whatever record we held. Last year's team showed a lot more fight and more importantly, consistency. I think the Warriors broke us. 3pt shooting was never this bad throughout the regular season last year
Last season win or lose, the games were almost always competitive. Blowouts were pretty rare either way. Kings only had a few games like this but they didn’t get out of hand so quickly.

The wins this season have been better. Kings have looked better in wins than they did last season. The performances more resounding. The differential more decisive.

A lot of the wins last season were games they could’ve just as easily lost. Not the case this season. Of their 13 wins. Only the third Warriors game was of that type.

difference is, last season many of their losses were games they could’ve just as easily won…not the case this season…and only one of their losses is a a game they could’ve just as easily won. Also against the Warriors in SF.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the playoffs or the Warriors. But they need to figure out why they have been so uncompetitive when they lose this season
