I think Mike Brown knows what he's doing. We're never going to win in the playoffs with the 25th ranked defense no matter how good the offense is. Actually playing defense takes energy and if that means the offense isn't quite as free flowing as it was last season that's a necessary sacrifice. The goal has changed and so has the methodology. It also should be noted that we're still getting a ton of open looks, guy's just haven't been making them.

We're still in the top 5 (top 3?) in this category IIRC it's just early season rhythm etc. I'd be a lot more concerned if Fox was playing and we had the same record or if we had this record while shots were falling at an unsustainable clip. After what we just did to OKC (admittedly a game I couldn't bring myself to watch live), I am pretty comfortable with where we're at given Fox's availability.

I think the focus on defense is fine. I think Browns trying to make it so guys incorporate it into their game and it comes as naturally as offensive moves. Once he sees what he wants he'll start preaching more offense again. Fox returning will help there too, but I think defense will be the word for the first half of the season, unless we really start stinking it up.
